Job Summary: Tenure-track research position for investigators with proven skills in conducting original research in the field of cancer microenvironment, including adult, pediatric, primary, or metastatic cancers. This position is supported by the SUNY Empire Innovation Program. Candidates must have a strong record of innovative research, impactful publications, extramural funding aligned with their career stage, and a clear vision for long-term growth of their research program. All areas of research will be considered, with thematic preference for Central Nervous System and genitourinary tumors that can leverage extensive resources at SUNY Upstate. Successful candidates will join a community of oncology, cell biology, and neuroscience investigators with strengths in genomics, cytoskeleton, neural environment, biomechanics, cancer molecular and cellular biology, and population studies. Candidates are expected to develop a research program in cancer microenvironment that will combine strengths from multiple topic areas to attract further talent and continued funding support. Their research program will be supported by state-of-the art core facilities for genomics, proteomics, advanced microscopy, and tumor biobanking. Candidates will carry the titles of Associate or Full Professor (rank dependent upon qualifications) and Empire Innovation Scholar. They will have primary appointment in a basic-science or clinical department matching their research program, and further affiliation as members of the SUNY Upstate Cancer Center. Minimum Qualifications:
PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in the appropriate area of discipline/specialty, with a strong record of publications, funding, and career recognition.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evaluate scientific information and new ideas to identify research trends, opportunities, and funding. Leadership skills to build a multidisciplinary research program and mentor junior peers in the field. Ability to perform basic-science, translational, or clinical research in the field of cancer microenvironment.

General Description

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to provide instruction for LAUNCH's Pre Employment Transition Services. This program guides and encourages young adult (ages 16-21) learner development in specific course objectives under the ACCES-VR contract.
Responsibilities include:
Creating and developing curriculum and lesson plans
Delivering lesson plans and instructional materials to facilitate active learning
Addressing the individual needs of each earning and providing differentiated instruction
Creating a learning environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the learners
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required, concentration in Education or Special Education preferred. Experience working with individuals of various disabilities required. Experience with remote learning preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required skills include: active listening and effective speaking, time management, critical thinking, basic technology/e-mail, reading comprehension, effective written and verbal expression.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid driver's license and transportation necessary to meet program needs.

Job Duties:
Applicants must be willing to
work after school hours on workdays to include weekends and some holidays;
organize and traveling with cadets;
support school, unit, and community events;
Unit Information:
Unit enrollment averages 101 cadets with two (anticipated) instructors from a student body that normally averages 2725 students. We are seeking a highly motivated instructor who sets the example in leadership, appearance, fully exemplifying Navy core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Our Program is extremely active in all areas (academics, leadership training, community/school service, and competitions) and earned the Distinguish Unit award several years in a row. No experience in NJROTC is required but a willingness to learn, teach, mentor, counsel as well as coach competitive teams (Drill, Athletics, Orienteering, Drone, Academics, Cyber Patriot and JLAB with the NSI is necessary. Diversity is something that our District prides itself on and we are seeking an instructor who appreciates diversity as much as we do.

Watercolor, acrylic painting and/or drawing instructors wanted to teach art classes at the Michaels stores in Syracuse!
This is a part-time, permanent position. This is a great opportunity for an artist who would like to be able to offer classes, but does not have their own studio space to do so.
We are looking for instructors who:
-have the ability to paint and/or draw realistically
-have the ability
to teach
realistic, acrylic painting, watercolor and/or drawing classes
-have the willingness to market their classes and build their own student base
Compensation:
FREE Basics: MAKE A Project Classes:
Scheduled
up to one time per month
Hourly rate plus $3 per student
Advanced Classes
: Acrylic Painting, Watercolor and Drawing Classes:
Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students in attendance or less
Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 students in attendance or more

Duration:
Classes are two hours in length.
The goal of each class is for students to leave with a finished painting or drawing.
Certification:
All Grumbacher art instructors who teach classes at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher.
