For this academic year, we are particularly interested in candidates who specialize in Korea Studies and/or scholars who can lead a 3-part graduate workshop on international relations, human rights, migration, issues of gender and/or other timely, relevant contemporary issues of the Asia Pacific.
The ideal candidate will be interested in becoming an engaged member of the USF community through teaching, sharing his/her research, participating in center events and programs, and interacting with faculty and students.

The successful candidate will also receive up to $3500 in the form of a rental reimbursement to help offset the costs of housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.

1. Department of Criminal Justice Administration

The Position
The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available.
Responsibilities
Teach upper division courses in the department's curriculum - including, CJA 341: Statistics in Criminal Justice Administration - and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
* Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.
* Applicants must have experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
* A Master's degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
* A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is required for teaching upper-division core courses (300- or 400-level).

Salary and Benefit Information

Purpose:
The School of Engineering seeks a dynamic quarterly lecturer (QL) for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach graduate level AMTH courses. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, as well as a dedication to the well-being and advancement of students, colleagues, and the School.
Santa Clara University operates on a quarter system. Each quarter (fall, winter, and spring) is 10 weeks long, with an extra week for final examinations. Graduate classes are offered 7:00-9:00 AM, 5:00-7:00 PM, and 7:00-9:00 PM
QLs are allowed to teach up to 4 course equivalencies (CEs) per academic year with no more than 2 CEs in any particular quarter. Additionally, QLs are allowed to teach an additional 2 CEs during the summer terms. A 2 unit lecture equals 2/3 CE.
Generally, course equivalencies are:
UNDERGRADUATE:
4 unit lecture = 1 CE
1 unit lab = 0.5 CE
1 unit lab with a teaching assistant (TA) = 0.25
GRADUATE:
4 unit lecture = 1 CE
2 unit lecture = 0.66 CE
Basic Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. Degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, specifically in Statistics.
Responsibilities:
Teach one or more graduate applied mathematics classes and participate in all related activities, including:
Prepare and conduct all assigned class meetings
Assign and evaluate/grade student work appropriately
Be available to students for consultation outside of class
Assign student grades appropriately and submit them on time to the Office of Student Records
Conduct course assessments as required by the department
Complete and submit time cards every two weeks
Comply with university and school policies, including those delineated in the School of Engineering Term Faculty Handbook
