Educates members, providers, and other customers regarding transplant benefits. Directly educates the transplant financial coordinator of the transplant center, member and/or family members, brokers, group and marketing reps, and other providers. Directly educates internal customer service reps regarding individual transplant benefits and the transplant network.
Ensures proper payment of pre-transplant, transplant, and post-transplant claims. Sets up transplant pre-pay review for each individual claim. Reviews transplant billing packets and reconciles with transplant centers if necessary. Continuously reviews FACETS claim history to determine if claim has been paid or if adjudication problems are occurring. Follows up with member and transplant center during the global payment process to ensure accurate payment. Responds to claims inquiries.
Accurately reports potential high cost members and tracks costs on members currently undergoing transplants.
Serves as transplant information source for other departments of the company (e.g., marketing department, senior management, steering committee, contracting department, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in nursing
Valid and active Registered nurse (RN) in Missouri and Kansas.
3 years full-time direct patient care clinical experience in either of the following: transplant, oncology or medical/surgical
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Thorough knowledge of URAC and NCQA guidelines and state and federal regulations.
Case Management Certification within 3 years of hire date or within 3 years of transfer to Case Management role/department.

Once an instructor has been selected and trained, they will be assigned a schedule of at least one week duration with a total of 3 - 6 training programs during the week.

Instructors typically deliver courses from January - April and again from August - November time frames. (Summer months and holidays are generally your own time).

SCOPE OF WORK:
The English Language Training (ELT) instructor is responsible for providing integrated English language instruction to non-native English speakers. The ELT Instructor successfully tailors' curriculum and materials to meet the needs of students enrolled in the program, supports overall program administration by conducting student recruitment, registration, and attendance tracking, and supports student retention, progress, and assessment efforts. The ELT Instructor also implements an engaging, effective curriculum that supports refugee acquisition of English language skills that support employability. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver integrated ELT instruction.
- Receive client referrals and conduct initial client assessments.
- Perform comprehensive assessment on each student to established quality assurance, including pre-tests and post- tests.
- Plan, prepare, maintain, and update curricula and lesson plans for mixed-level classes to meet the English Language Training needs of students.
- Integrated ELT combines English language lessons with basic communication, job skills, digital literacy skills, and other life skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching (100%)
Works with Department Chair to provide hands-on student training in history and physical assessment, diagnostic testing, and procedural skills

Your day-to-day
responsibilities
will vary, but are not limited to:
Files an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught within the course shell of the appropriate Learning Management System.
Ensures that each program/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency.
Maintains a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulates enthusiasm for those subjects.
Recommends textbooks and other instructional materials including classroom and laboratory equipment to Dean/Director.
Make suggestions to the department Dean/Director, concerning the improvement of the curriculum in keeping with the objectives of the college.
Teaches all classes according to an approved course syllabus, ensuring that assigned classes are held as scheduled. Holds the final exam at the time scheduled unless permission to deviate has been approved by the department Dean/Director.
The instructor will create and organize course syllabi for all courses using the Learning Management System. Ensures courses have necessary content and teaching methods, staying updated in relevant subjects, and inspiring student interest. Evaluates student progress and suggest curriculum improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements
Education:
Master's Degree required, in one of the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Astronomy, or Health Science (Only for Anatomy and Physiology Instructors) Additionally, a Master's Degree with 18 graduate credits in the specified discipline or instruction will meet requirement.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Teaching experience desired, experience in adult education preferred.
Must be available for required course assignments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
