Online Part-TimeFaculty - Certified Professional Biller (CPB)

Bryant & Stratton College Online Division is seeking AAPC approved instructors to teach a self-paced CPB™ course. The CPB™ Prep course guides students through the most challenging exam concepts while developing an understanding various types of insurance plans, expertise in applying payer policy, knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS Level II Coding guidelines. The successful candidate can assist students in understanding the life cycle of a medical billing claim and how to improve revenue as well as demonstrate expertise in claim follow-up and denial resolution. Instructors will facilitate a learning environment that supports the college mission and vision statements, foster engagement by using the various teaching methodologies adopted by the college, use the most effective technologies, and support the students at all stages of their exam preparation.
Skills:


The knowledge, skills, and abilities to teach in an online asynchronous environment. The ability to identify and support all learning styles with various teaching methodologies. Critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues that impact the students' successful complete of a course. Strong time management and performance management skills. Requirements:


Associate's degree, Bachelor's preferred Required certifications:
Current CPC-I or AAPC-Approved Instructor AND CPB™ credentials

Managing weekly module Q&A discussion forum a minimum of three days per week Responding to student emails within 48 hours Conducting one-on-one meetings with "at risk students" as needed Posting course announcements Maintaining course gradebook Student outreach

Loyola University Chicago (LUC) invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty for the Online Bilingual MSW Program, Online MSW program and MSW program in the School of Social Work. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. Current opportunities include teaching foundation and advanced-level courses.
Salary:

Ph.D. $6908.00. Per course.

MSW + five years post direct practice $6241.00 Per Course.

Part-time adjunct faculty are limited to teaching two courses per semester.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES*

* Although Online courses are already designed, Instructors will be expected to design some course materials to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning, i.e., creating PPT video lectures for asynchronous course work, creating and monitoring discussion boards and other discussions on the LMS platform.
* Facilitate synchronous classes and monitor asynchronous student work and progress regularly.
* Create an effective and empathic learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and helps students to problem solve using discipline-specific thinking strategies and real-practice examples.
* Monitor formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and the attainment of the student learning outcomes for the course.
* Help students reach their academic, personal and career goals and foster a safe environment that respects the diversity of people and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every student's ability to learn.
* Contribute to and provide leadership in the student's academic and professional communities and promote collaboration and teamwork among members of these communities.
* Present effective instruction to students based upon approved course syllabi.
* Assess and grade students based upon legitimate assessment factors. Student graded assignments and assessments should be returned to students within eight days of student submission.
* Hold one hour of student conference time per week for every course section taught.
* Attend monthly instructor meetings.
* Provide individual, regular, timely, and constructive feedback to students about their progress and learning.
* Provide timely communication to students, within 48 hours of student contact.
* Training sessions may be required for instructors teaching online courses.
