Courses are taught in a blended format. This position requires the faculty member to teach on campus one day per week, for approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, for a total of 6 weeks. The remainder of the course is taught asynchronously/remotely each week.
Position Summary: Adjunct faculty plan, prepare and deliver quality instruction to students by utilizing approved course curriculum and instructional methods that accommodate multiple learning styles.
Position Responsibilities:
Facilitate organized, engaging classes based on course objectives and course curriculum
Assess student learning using appropriate methods
Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide feedback and advising to students regarding progress
Effectively resolves student concerns or complaints
Participate in new student orientation, graduation and other campus events, as appropriate
Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field and with instructional and educational practices and methods
Other duties as required
Education: Associates degree in a health-related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years' direct work experience in medical billing and/or coding; experience must be within the last eight years.
Prior teaching experience preferred, but Hussian College provides training for those with no prior teaching experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with Course Leads, Department Chair, and Dean to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college's learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students.
Submit updated and accurate syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check college email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours, except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as attendance, early alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions. Administer and return questionnaires and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Prepare and analyze data for student outcome assessments as assigned.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Job Summary
Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our part-time Carpentry adjunct faculty pool.
These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, and/or online.
Job Duties:
Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress. Maintains classroom order and discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field (Construction, Construction Management, Carpentry) or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in a qualifying field.

These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends. Classes are face-to-face only.
When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

Teaching assistant to help with instruction on-the-range and over-the-road activities, and may do tutoring for students as needed. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Maintains classroom order and discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
Commercial Driver's License - Associate degree or equivalent experience and demonstrated competencies in commercial transportation. Must hold current Kentucky Class A CDL License. Must have over-the-road CDL driving experience; prefer a minimum of two (2) years. Preference will be given to applicants with experience as a classroom, road and range Class A CDL instructor.
