The Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2026. Candidates for the position should have a glia and/or neurovascular coupling research focus with relevance to human health or disease. The department welcomes all areas and specializations within glia and neurovascular coupling, including research using either model organisms (e.g., mice, rats, zebrafish, etc.) or humans. The Department of Human Physiology has a range of research strengths in both clinical and preclinical models in areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular, respiratory and muscle physiology, cell signaling and metabolism, and biomechanics. The candidate will have a primary appointment in the department of Human Physiology, but they will also benefit from additional expertise and a collaborative research environment within the Institute of Neuroscience (ION) (which includes faculty from Biology, Psychology, Human Physiology, and Math), the Center for Translational Neuroscience, and the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Further, this hire will benefit from other ongoing searches in ION/Biology and the Knight Campus focused on Developmental Neuroscience and Neuroengineering, respectively, highlighting the UO desire to forward a strong research environment in Neuroscience.

The Department of Human Physiology is home to undergraduate, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, who desire strong training in human physiology and anatomy that will prepare them for careers in biomedical research, medicine, and allied health professions. Human Physiology has strong connections with the Institute of Neuroscience, the Neuroscience Major, the Data Science Initiative, the Institute for Molecular Biology, the Lewis Center for Neuroimaging, the Prevention Science Institute, the Bowerman Sports Science Center, the Center for Translational Neuroscience, and the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Teach courses that train students in hands-on automotive repair, diagnostics,
and shop safety- the same skills and standards used in today's professional
service centers. Specific teaching assignments will include your evaluation of

Associate degree in Automotive and/or Diesel repair or a closely related field,

Position Summary
The University of Oregon's Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic instructional and supervision vacancies. Positions are limited duration appointments, potentially renewable for up to a total of three years.
Clinical supervisors will provide clinical instruction and/or supervision in a clinical setting to students in the Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) or Counseling Psychology (CPSY) programs. Clinical Assistant Professors/supervisors focus their training and instruction on the practical application of skills necessary to engage in a given profession. They are expected to demonstrate and share the expertise of their practice for the program.
Instructors teach primarily undergraduate-level courses, and lecturers teach primarily graduate-level courses in the Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department. Instructional duties include course preparation, teaching, preparation and evaluation of student assignments and exams, maintenance of office hours, and may oversee student graders or graduate employee assigned to the course.
Topic areas for instruction and supervision may include: ethical and legal guidelines for therapy, relational therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, therapy with minors, adult practicum, suicide screening, assessment, and intervention, interpersonal violence screening and intervention, safety plans, documentation skills, assessment and treatment planning, gender-affirming counseling, and family and human services.

Salary and Compensation Information:
Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being "rolled" once per term, if eligible.

45% Teaching:
Primary teaching duties include teaching courses in Oregon State University's Business Information Systems program in in-person, online and/or hybrid format. MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
RESPONSIBLITIES: Primary responsibly is teaching undergraduate nursing courses. The successful candidate will be able to teach nursing clinical practice in a variety of settings and nursing theory courses focused on care of adults and families. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
