Job Description:
The Department of English at The University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to teach in the BA track and MFA program in the field of creative writing, fiction specialization, effective August 16, 2026. The normal teaching assignment is two courses per semester.
The successful candidate will be expected to 1) maintain an active writing and publication career, 2) teach four courses per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate level, and mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students, 3) contribute service to the Department, the university, and the profession. Department service includes help with MFA program coordination (e.g. events planning, admissions, student mentoring, curriculum oversight) and engagement with Departmental committees and processes.

Clinical. Seeking a candidate with broad clinical experience in urologic oncology with a particular interest in, but not limited to, one of the following potential areas:
Kidney cancer: The candidate should have an interest in treating local and advanced kidney cancer employing a multi-disciplinary approach along with both robotic and open techniques and strong clinical trials involvement. UF urology has a strong multi-disciplinary approach for advanced kidney cancer patients.
Testicular cancer: The candidate should have experience in all aspects of the evaluation and treatment of testicular cancer. Experience in open and/or robotic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and multi-disciplinary care in conjunction with colleagues from medical oncology. Clinical trial involvement would be viewed favorably.
Bladder cancer: Alternatively, the candidate may have an interest in treating local and advanced bladder cancer employing a multi-disciplinary approach to clinical trials enrollment for bladder cancer patients along with medical oncology and radiation oncology.
It is expected regardless of clinical area of interest that the candidate has a strong academic research interest. The candidate would also receive excellent mentorship of two established urologic oncologists (Paul Crispen, MD Padraic O'Malley, MD and Tarik Benidir, MD).

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (CHP) within the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida is recruiting for a faculty position in clinical health psychology. Depending upon experience, there may be an opportunity to serve as assistant director/director of the psychology transplant team. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure track or non-tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. We welcome senior and junior faculty applications. The Department has a mentoring program designed to assist junior faculty in their professional identity and development.
The primary assignment for this position will be inpatient and outpatient adult solid organ transplantation (e.g., liver, heart, and/or lung,), including pre & post-transplant assessments, clinical follow-up, team consultation, program development, intervention and participation in Solid Organ Medical Review Board meetings, as well as supervision of trainees. Currently, this service includes one other psychologist and routinely includes postdoctoral fellows, interns, and/or students who rotate on this service as part of their training. The Department is exploring potential growth opportunities for the service, including research related activities. In addition to clinical supervision, classroom teaching may be assigned as part of the faculty member's responsibilities. Clinical. The Department of Biostatistics and the Department of Epidemiology have launched a joint search under the Neuroscience Initiative and invite applications for up to three full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenured or tenure track open rank faculty positions. The successful candidates will be part of an academic community that prioritizes innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
The University of Florida has significant breadth and depth in neuroscience research. This includes, for example, research in neuro- and neuromuscular imaging, movement disorders, spinal cord injury and stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and neurorehabilitation. Focus is now being placed on leveraging the existing strengths of UF to recruit faculty in biostatistics and epidemiology who can serve as neuroscience principal investigators and collaborators. There is a tremendous need for faculty who can perform epidemiological/clinical epidemiology/biostatistics studies in neurosciences. Some examples include the genetics of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease; risk factors for poor neurodevelopment in children; neuroprevention; the effects of exposure (e.g., cannabis) on neurocognition; the downstream effects of early- and mid-life social determinants of health on late life cognitive trajectories; rehabilitation for those with neurological disorders; proper modeling of neuroimaging data; and integration of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data to understand neurological conditions and responses to therapy.
A ready collaborative infrastructure exists across UF; for example, the departments of Clinical and Health Psychology, Neurology, Neuroscience, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy, and the McKnight Brain Institute and the 1Florida Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
The successful candidates will be expected to contribute both collaboratively and independently to externally funded research. Applicants will be expected to be principal investigators of extramurally funded research projects. Placement within PHHP/COM will be determined upon identification of a candidate for hire but are expected to be within the Department of Biostatistics or the Department of Epidemiology. The successful candidates will be expected to teach courses that fit within those departments and/or our public health programs, as well as contribute to service through student mentorship and committee service. Faculty members receive both research and teaching support provided by our college level research core for grant development and submission as well as the instructional design team for course development and delivery.
UF Biostatistics: Faculty members are jointly appointed in the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine. Faculty pursue independent and collaborative research; they also teach in the MS and PhD in Biostatistics programs and support a concentration in Biostatistics as part of the Master's of Public Health program. They are advisors and mentors to a wide variety of students. Current faculty members are leaders in artificial intelligence, big data analysis, cancer, genetics, infectious disease modeling and intervention studies, medical image processing, metabolomics data analysis, survival analysis, causal inference, statistical methods of health surveys, high dimensional inference, longitudinal data analysis, and clinical trials. The successful candidates will be part of an academic community that prioritizes innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
The University of Florida has significant breadth and depth in neuroscience research. This includes, for example, research in neuro- and neuromuscular imaging, movement disorders, spinal cord injury and stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and neurorehabilitation. Focus is now being placed on leveraging the existing strengths of UF to recruit faculty in biostatistics and epidemiology who can serve as neuroscience principal investigators and collaborators. There is a tremendous need for faculty who can perform epidemiological/clinical epidemiology/biostatistics studies in neurosciences. Some examples include the genetics of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease; risk factors for poor neurodevelopment in children; neuroprevention; the effects of exposure (e.g., cannabis) on neurocognition; the downstream effects of early- and mid-life social determinants of health on late life cognitive trajectories; rehabilitation for those with neurological disorders; proper modeling of neuroimaging data; and integration of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data to understand neurological conditions and responses to therapy.
A ready collaborative infrastructure exists across UF; for example, the departments of Clinical and Health Psychology, Neurology, Neuroscience, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy, and the McKnight Brain Institute and the 1Florida Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
The successful candidates will be expected to contribute both collaboratively and independently to externally funded research. Applicants will be expected to be principal investigators of extramurally funded research projects. Placement within PHHP/COM will be determined upon identification of a candidate for hire but are expected to be within the Department of Biostatistics or the Department of Epidemiology. The successful candidates will be expected to teach courses that fit within those departments and/or our public health programs, as well as contribute to service through student mentorship and committee service. Faculty members receive both research and teaching support provided by our college level research core for grant development and submission as well as the instructional design team for course development and delivery.
UF Biostatistics: Faculty members are jointly appointed in the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine. The Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida is seeking applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) 12-month, non-tenure track Lecturer/Instructional Assistant Professor faculty position. This is a 100% teaching (College of Agricultural and Life Sciences) appointment within the Department of Animal Sciences, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, at the University of Florida. A successful candidate with a Ph.D. degree would be eligible to use the 'Instructional Assistant Professor' working title. This assignment may change in accordance with the needs of the unit. The primary responsibilities of this position would be to teach undergraduate courses and laboratories that make up the required core of the equine science degree option and to advise undergraduate students. Specific courses may include, but are not limited to, Introduction to Equine Science, Equine Nutrition and Feeding Management, Relationship of Form to Function in Horses, Horse Enterprise Management, and Introduction to Animal Sciences. Faculty are encouraged to support and participate in the CALS Honors Program, distance education, and international education. Because of the IFAS land-grant mission, all faculty are expected to be supportive of and engaged in all three mission areas-Research, Teaching and Extension-regardless of the assignment split specified in the position description.
Background Information:
Florida boasts large and vibrant beef, dairy and horse industries that have strong ties to research, teaching and extension programs within IFAS. The Department of Animal Sciences has an emphasis on the forage consuming species, particularly cattle and horses, and their products useful to humankind. Recently, significant investment in the animal sciences by the State of Florida has resulted in substantial growth in the Department of Animal Sciences. There are significant strengths in the Department in the areas of physiology, nutrition and genetics that will serve as fertile collaborative potential for the incumbent to this position. The Department also has substantial farm facilities for housing beef and dairy cattle, horses, and sheep for use by faculty in research, teaching and extension efforts.

Required Qualifications:
A Master's degree (foreign equivalent acceptable) in animal science, or other related discipline is required. Demonstrated experience in one or more areas of equine science are required. Candidates will also have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationships. Candidates must be supportive of the tripartite teaching, research and extension mission of the Land-Grant system, and have a commitment to UF core values .
Preferred:
Ph.D. degree is desirable, but not required (only required for use of the 'Instructional Assistant Professor' working title). Teaching experience (both online and in-person), evidence of professional development and scholarship of teaching and learning is preferred. Previous experience in academic advising and administration.
