The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a full time faculty member to join a team of faculty in the Cytogenetics and Molecular Diagnostics clinical laboratories. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type, including leadership opportunities, will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates at any stage in their career are encouraged to apply. Candidates will share clinical service with other members of the team and have dedicated time off clinical service to devote to academic activities, including research and education. The Cytogenetics Laboratory offers a full menu of prenatal and postnatal constitutional testing and cancer analyses as well as specialized testing for bone marrow failure disorders. Similarly, the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory offers a wide range of germline and cancer testing. Techniques include karyotyping, FISH, chromosomal microarray, optical gene mapping, single-gene tests by PCR-based methods (qualitative, quantitative, and methylation-specific), targeted NGS panels and whole-genome sequencing.
The successful candidate will have completed an ABMG LGG Fellowship (or have completed cytogenetics and molecular genetics separately) and be interested in an academic career to include research and education. Minimum requirements for MD (or equivalent) candidates include eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.
Mentoring junior faculty to develop their academic and professional careers is a high priority for our department. With a large group of faculty dedicated to research, there are numerous opportunities for research collaboration and internal funding. The new faculty member will join a highly collegial team that hosts a variety of research seminars and clinical conferences that further support continuing education and faculty interactions. Additionally, many senior faculty hold leadership positions in national organizations setting policy and guidelines for Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics.

Job Description
The Department of Nursing at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach courses in the various nursing programs, which include the BSN completion (RN-BSN), MA in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP-FNP and post-Masters DNP). In addition, the nursing department may have opportunities to be a clinical instructor for the DNP-FNP track.
Priority will be given to a candidate demonstrating interest and strength in teaching with an emphasis on transcultural nursing, public health nursing, leadership, holistic health, equity and inclusivity and social justice issues in the discipline.
This search will establish a “pool” of instructors if such openings occur during Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2026. Applicants may be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
Available courses vary by term. Most classes are held during the day, 1 day per week. In addition to teaching the class and grading student work, instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email, hold regularly scheduled office hours, reach out to students with course progress information, and communicate regularly with the course coordinator. A course syllabus with calendar, textbook and homework selection, sample activities and exams, and shared office space are typically provided. Most classes are taught in-person on our Minneapolis campus. Each course requires approximately 12-15 hours/week for 15-16 weeks.
The successful candidate will possess both a high level of intercultural competency and a commitment to inclusive practice and authentic representation.

Job Description
