Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Applicants should hold an earned doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. Applicants with a related doctoral degree and who have been employed as full-time faculty members in a counseling program at another institution for at least one full academic year prior to July 1, 2013 may also be considered.
A demonstrated history, competence in, and commitment to quality teaching courses at the graduate level is preferred.
At least two years of experience as a professional clinical counselor is preferred. State licensure in counseling is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other faculty members, as well as students.
Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills as demonstrated through prior work experiences.
Evidence of prior scholarship of discovery, integration, application, and/or teaching and learning is preferred. Commitment to ongoing scholarship is required.
