Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include serving as Director of the Northeastern University Biomedical Imaging Center (NUBIC), serving as a senior faculty member in the Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health (CBH), teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducting an independent, externally funded research program, and contributing to the academic mission of his/her department(s). Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction to students within Expanded Education, focusing on specific music disciplines (e.g., voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, composition, music theory, etc.).
Develop and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of students at different skill levels and ages.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, fostering their musical growth, technical skills, and artistic expression.
Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and competitions, encouraging their confidence and stage presence.
Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance teaching methodologies and stay updated with industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in music education, performance, or a related field.
Proven expertise and experience in teaching one or more music disciplines with a track record of successful student outcomes.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in music education and a passion for nurturing the artistic growth of young musicians.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and staff.
