PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in a classroom, which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a computer in the work environment. COMPENSATION: The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step A. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.     The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking candidates for a full-time position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW's Faculty Code Section 24-34. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026. In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. The Mathematics Department consists of nineteen full-time faculty and a number of quarterly-contracted faculty. Over three hundred sections of mathematics are offered annually ranging from pre-algebra through linear algebra, differential equations, and discrete math. These courses support professional technical programs, transfer degree programs, and four-year degree programs at Bellevue College (including Computer Science and Data Analytics). Members of the department participate in professional activities at both the regional and national levels.
