The Department of Radiology at Jefferson Health/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is seeking a musculoskeletal fellowship-trained radiologist to join the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division.
The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital musculoskeletal radiology division is among the largest at academic medical centers in the U.S. with 12 fellowship-trained radiologists, holding numerous leadership and committee positions in the International Skeletal Society and the Society of Skeletal Radiology, and a rapidly growing practice with the opening of the state-of-the-art Honickman Outpatient Center on Jefferson's campus.
Clinical responsibilities will include diagnostic radiographic, CT, MRI, and ultrasound interpretation as well as ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopy-guided musculoskeletal procedures. We have among the highest musculoskeletal MRI volumes in the U.S. with more than 120 MRI joints interpreted daily, including many sports-related injuries, and over 40 diagnostic MSK ultrasound studies per day, many of which are accompanied by ultrasound-guided procedures, including steroid injections, tenotomy, PRP injections, calcific tendinosis barbotage, flexor retinaculum release for carpal tunnel, etc. We provide imaging interpretation and image-guided intervention services for the major professional sports teams in the region (including coverage at the NFL Combine and MLB spring training), several regional collegiate and high school athletics programs, as well as the Pennsylvania Ballet. Our division also performs all MR imaging and ultrasound-guided exams at an institute specialized in core muscle ("sports hernia") and hip injuries - one of the elite sports-related surgery centers in the country, treating professional football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer players from all over the world. We also have a research collaboration with the U.S. Olympic team.
The division is nationally recognized for our two fellowship programs, a musculoskeletal radiology ACGME- accredited fellowship (3-4 fellows per year) and a musculoskeletal/neuroradiology MRI fellowship (3-4 fellows per year). In addition, our residency programs include 33 diagnostic radiology residents, 9 integrated interventional radiology residents, and 1 independent interventional radiology position.
There is a tremendous opportunity for clinical research. The division collaborates closely with busy orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and other practitioners in clinical care and research. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes several multislice CT scanners, MRI units, and workstations, all networked to a centralized PACS system.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, successful completion of an accredited residency program and MSK fellowship, and must be board certified or board eligible. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensing for the practice of medicine in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) in the College of Health and Human Development (CHHD) at Penn State University seeks applicants for a term, non-tenure track open-rank Teaching Professor position (48-week appointment). We seek candidates who are strong generalists, with a breadth of expertise enabling them to teach across our HDFS undergraduate curriculum (including, but not limited to, developmental foundations courses, applied skills courses, and advanced topics courses).
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge, professionalism, and innovation to (and beyond) the classroom and be enthusiastic to work as part of a collaborative team focused on infusing engaged learning and career-development opportunities across our HDFS undergraduate offerings (curricular and co-curricular).
Candidates should have superior writing skills, with experience in program/curriculum development strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable, competent, and experienced working with students, but also with faculty and staff collaborators. Ideally, applicants will have experience working with both traditional and non-traditional students with diverse backgrounds and career goals, as well as experience instructing in in-person/residential formats as well as online. Specific competencies critical to success include excellent interpersonal and professional verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; a team-oriented, collaborative approach to work; ability to build strong professional relationships with students and colleagues; and demonstrated expertise relevant to supporting undergraduate student career and professional skill development.
Primary appointment is within the HDFS department at Penn State's University Park campus, however, responsibilities likely to include instruction and curriculum development for HDFS online offerings through Penn State's World Campus. Within HDFS, the typical instructional load is 3-4 courses/sections per semester (in Fall / Spring) and 2 courses/sections in Summer (12 week) semesters.
The semester load, however, is always determined in balance with other assignments related to strategic efforts to enhance and maintain strong HDFS undergraduate programming (e.g., the development of new courses, and designing new approaches to existing courses). All HDFS faculty appointments also include regular service to the department (e.g. serving on committees).
A Master's degree or higher in Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, or a related field (e.g., Education, Social Work) is required by the appointment date. Rank will be determined by AC21 guidelines.

The course may utilize materials from a test preparation company such as Kaplan and will be supplemented by American Association of Medical Colleges ( AAMC ) materials and direct instruction. The course will cover all four sections of the MCAT exam, with separate instructors teaching each of the three other sections.
