Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Statistics invites candidates to apply for a term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Responsibilities include teaching statistics courses to graduate students in our online Master of Applied Statistics (MAS) degree program, as well as teaching both in person and online undergraduate statistics courses and courses for graduate students majoring in fields other than statistics. The position also includes revising or developing online courses. The successful candidate will have excellent teaching and communication skills and provide effective and welcoming learning experiences for all students.
The position involves a 9-month appointment with an initial length of 3 years, starting August 16, 2026. Renewal for additional 3-year contracts is contingent on performance and department need. Opportunities for teaching online summer courses for additional pay are likely.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
MS in statistics or a closely related field by the time of appointment
Teaching experience at the college or university level
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in statistics or a closely related field by the time of appointment
Teaching experience as the instructor of record in statistics at the university level
Experience with teaching, revising, or developing online courses

Duties will include overseeing faculty-student research projects, including determining project groups; mentoring junior faculty scholarship development; and developing and maintaining a fundable line of scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications:
A doctoral degree is required (e.g., PhD, ScD, EdD, or post-professional OTD). Applicant must be an NBCOT certified occupational therapist and be licensed in Iowa by the time the appointment begins. Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis is required, along with a strong track record of scholarship and research. Applicants with proven track record of funded projects and/or research-related fellowships are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with educational expertise in evidence-based practice, critical analysis, public health, wellness, scholarship and/or research and strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Interior Design, in the College of Design at Iowa State University (ISU), invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Practice. The position will teach undergraduate studios and lecture courses addressing topics such as the design process, spatial design, materials and finishes, lighting design, color theory and applications, and cultural and historical contexts.
