Reach For Youth, Inc. was established in 1974 by a coalition of south-side Indianapolis community leaders concerned about the lack of services and programs in their neighborhood. Today we serve over 3000 youth and their families throughout Central Indiana, providing Teen Court programs, mental health counseling, intervention, and a host of other prevention services that provide opportunities for youth and strengthen families. Reach For Youth’s mission is to provide second chances through prevention, intervention and counseling. Our vision: Every youth has the opportunity to succeed.
Programs and Services
Reach For Youth’s mission is fulfilled through two primary prevention programs: mental health counseling services and juvenile justice and Teen Court programs. Counseling services include individual, group and family counseling, including ATE (Alternative to Expulsion), an innovative R.E.A.C.H. program (career and college readiness) and a variety of educational and therapeutic groups and workshops. Teen Court is a juvenile justice, diversion program for first-time, nonviolent offenders from the juvenile courts of Marion and Johnson counties. In addition, we provide youth development and volunteer opportunities to youth in our Teen Court program.
Position Description
We are searching for a LEAD team member to provide a point of contact services to our youth and families. This administrative position includes scheduling, answering and making phone calls, and collecting co-pays from our clients.
Experience with computers and Microsoft office is a must. Insurance billing is a plus but not required.
Successful staff members must be friendly, flexible, organized, and able to interact with families in stressful situations. High School education or higher.
Hours are part-time only-25-30 hours. Monday through Thursday. Our core hours of operation are from 8:30-7:00 PM with shifts at our Greenwood and Indianapolis locations. Must be able to work at both locations.
