We are looking for a bright, lively and personable Administrative Assistant to serve our growing support team. This is a full-time salaried position requiring 40 hours per week of service. The ideal candidate has exceptional verbal communication skills, the ability to project professionalism both in person and over multiple media types can effectively manage multiple tasks, is organized, and service-minded. They will have proficiency in, and experience with, the Microsoft Office suite, internet, and social media, and standard office equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
:

Minimum of an Associate's degree and five years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of seven years of experience.

Demonstrates a high sense of urgency and ability to act independently during the completion of tasks.

Proficient in Microsoft Office


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.

The position is Bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent to aid the Program Director of a supportive residential facility for formerly homeless, mentally ill clients. Candidate must possess a High School Degree.

*Location*: Georgia's Place is a permanent supportive housing facility for formerly homeless individuals, with a preference for the elderly. The building is named in the memory of the late Dr. Georgia McMurray, an influential figure in the development of youth programs in New York City, and in the early development of CCM. Comprised of 48 units, Georgia's Place has been created to provide stabilization, medication, better health care, employment and other services to help low-income residents live an independent life.

* Making and answering phone calls
