Records sales, buy back, delivery and variance information on daily sales or delivery record. Operates computerized inventory and invoicing system to accurately record stops, deliveries, and any errors on the route. Operates hand trucks and electric pallet jacks. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Conducts and/or supervises truck loading and unloading and secures loads. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Performs daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance on truck and maintains clean vehicle. Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials. Wears Company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety and standards and procedures. Typical days start at 5am and end early to mid-afternoon (depending on route), with an average of 45-50 hours per week. Route drivers start the morning picking up the packed trailer and follow the delivery route given. At each stop, there will be some building of the loads to take in to the customer which requires attention to detail in reading and scanning delivery tickets, working with the customer on where to place their products, getting required signatures, and developing relationships with these repeat customers. Responsibilities: Accurately, safely, and efficiently deliver merchandise using hand-trucks, ramps and/or lift gates to customers on a predetermined delivery route. May include delivering products up and down stairs and in all types of weather.
