About the role
We're looking for a SeniorSecurity Engineer to help us build out our monitoring and detection capabilities.
Please note, this can be a hybrid role based in our Palo Alto headquarters or a remote role based role in one of the 23 States Ladder is currently hiring in - AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA, WI.

What You'll Do
Improve ongoing monitoring and detection capabilities by adding data sources, creating detections, and building workflows in Google SecOps and Security Command Center Enterprise
Ensure we are protected against the latest threat by staying current on emerging security threats and actively monitoring various threat intelligence sources for latest trends, campaigns, and adversary TTPs
Collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams via threat modeling and design reviews
Help secure our Googlebased corporate and production environments
Assist IT in manage our SaaS applications and make sure people have access to what they should and not more
Iterate on cloud, network, application, personnel, and device security
Assess and secure internal and external applications, APIs, and CI/CD processes
Assist with SOC2 and compliance program control implementation
Triage alerts and respond to security incidents
Collaborate with peers and stakeholders across the company to ensure our customers are protected as best as possible at all times
Who You Are
3-5 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on application security and/or detection engineering
1-2 years of experience in information technology
Working knowledge of secure coding practices, application security frameworks, and common vulnerabilities
OSCP, HTB-CPTS, PNPT, eCPPTv2, or equivalent training/certs
Apple workstation security experience
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Datadog, Google SecOps (Chronicle), JAMF Protect, etc
Passion for building security tooling to enhance and automate security processes
Contributions to open-source projects or communities
Experience in securing AI/ML models and pipelines

Responsibilities
The Information Governance & Security Manager ensures that organizational information (case files, HR data, client records, financial systems) is managed securely, compliantly, and in alignment with regulatory requirements (CJIS, HIPAA, SHIELD). This role develops and enforces information governance policies, manages risk assessments and audits, and coordinates with the MSP and IT leadership to safeguard the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of organizational data.
Responsibilities
Own and update organizational information governance policies (data retention, access control, encryption, privacy)

Job Responsibilities:
Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence.

CIBC is seeking an experienced Cloud and Network SecurityConsultant to join our dynamic security team. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud and endpoint environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud security, automation, risk management, and compliance, and will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to safeguard our digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Cloud Security Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies for public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring alignment with CIBC's risk management and compliance objectives.
* Automation: Design and deploy automated security controls and monitoring solutions to ensure efficiency, consistency, and rapid response across cloud and endpoint environments.
* Risk Management: Conduct risk-based assessments for new and existing cloud and endpoint solutions, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Security Service Management: Build, integrate, and maintain security solutions for cloud and their respective endpoint platforms.
* Compliance and Governance: Ensure all cloud and endpoint environments comply with internal security standards and regulatory requirements. Manage audits, reporting, and continuous monitoring activities.
* Security Reviews: Perform comprehensive security reviews of infrastructure-as-code, system designs, and technical architectures. Provide recommendations and guidance to engineering teams.
* Integration: Collaborate with other security and IT teams to integrate cloud and endpoint security with broader security operations.
* Employee Training: Support the development and delivery of training programs to promote a culture of data protection and security awareness across the organization.
* Scalability: Design and implement secure cloud architectures that support high-velocity business growth and scalability requirements.
* Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security) preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, or related roles.
* Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated security tools and services.
* Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, automation, and cloud networking practices.
* Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
* In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
* Familiarity with network security technologies, SDR, cloud networking, gateways and firewalls.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Enforce security Posture compliance for wired and wireless endpoints and enhance infrastructure security using the Cisco ISE

• Integrate Endpoint Malware Protection Services (AMP) with AnyConnect and Cisco ISE

Work with vendor on problem resolution

Requirements:
Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of Cisco ISE
3-5 year of experience working with Network Security applications
Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco is a must, Nexus strongly preferred, other manufacturers are a plus)
Advance knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, FTP, SCP, firewalls, ACLs, Authentication protocols, Authorization, VPN, PKI, RSA, and Encryption
Knowledge of Directory Services including Active Directory, LDAP, and TDS
Knowledge of F5 load balancers
Knowledge of IT security principles, HIPAA, SOX and PCI regulations
Knowledge of IDS/IPS, Malware Prevention (Sourcefire & Fireye desired, Palo Alto a plus)
Business Analysis skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills
Security certification a plus such as CISSP, CEH or CISA
