Position Summary
We are seeking a Crane ServiceTechnician - Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Boise/Twin Falls location. This position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are ready to take on more complex service tasks. You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including advanced troubleshooting and customer communication.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of overhead cranes and hoists per OEM manuals and OSHA standards.
Work on 3-motion cranes with VFDs (no encoder) or contactors, including 5-speed pendants or remotes.
Service and troubleshoot uncommon brake systems such as Whiting SESA and Magnetek thruster brakes.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of AC control circuit principles including Ohm's Law and voltage drop.
Troubleshoot and repair contactor motor control systems.
Rig up and install new crane equipment with proper safety and mechanical procedures.
Explain repair plans, troubleshooting processes, and required parts to customers clearly and professionally.
Properly diagnose mechanical components including wheels, bearings, and reducers.
Identify and understand crane control components in hoist and bridge panels.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in crane service or industrial maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools and safe practices.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.

LFG Specialties is a part of the Solid Waste Services group within APTIM's Environmental & Energy Solutions Strategic Business Unit. LFG Specialties is an original equipment manufacturer and has been servicing the solid waste industry (i.e., landfills) since 1987, providing custom fabricated compliance equipment (i.e., landfill gas extraction and compression systems, flares, and evaporation systems for the treatment of landfill leachate), service, and parts. These modular systems are designed, fabricated, and tested at APTIM's Findlay, OH campus, which consists of over 45,000 sq. ft. of fabrication and assembly shop area. These systems serve to minimize fugitive landfill gas emissions and reduce leachate volumes to maintain compliance with the EPA guidelines for MSW landfills and mitigate the release of Greenhouse Gases that deteriorate the ozone.
We are one of the leading providers of equipment to the landfill gas industry. We design and fabricate gas flaring, drying, compression and evaporation equipment. We currently have multiple openings for experienced ServiceTechnicians to engage in the maintenance, repair, and startup of our equipment at customer sites. Weekly travel is required. Reporting into an office is not required.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Travel to and from client sites in a multi-state region, typically 3-4 days each week.
+ Work with senior technicians for first year during training.
+ Modify, assess, and repair electrical control and power systems (480VAC to signal wiring).
+ Modify pneumatic plumbing, installation/replacement of mechanical components into existing systems. Perform preventative maintenance including bearing changes and wire tightening Travel to and from client sites in a multi-state region, typically 3-6 days each week.
+ Communication with service manager and office support team.

Key Responsibilities
Installation: Install HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems and ventilation systems, ensuring they are set up according to specifications and safety standards.
Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning ducts, changing filters, and checking for leaks.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting issues and replacing defective parts as needed.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients, ensuring they understand the work performed and any necessary follow-up.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed including the type and cost of services provided.
Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional training or certification in HVAC technology is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician is often required, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
Certifications: EPA Universal Certification is commonly required to handle refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
Skills: Strong problems-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC equipment.
Working Conditions
HVAC technicians may work in various environments, including commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
The job may require physical labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Position Summary:
The Residential ServiceTechnician is a troubleshooter and service expert who is responsible for alleviating concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. The Residential ServiceTechnician advises customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections.
Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs.
Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
Qualifications - External
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills.
Able to read building electrical and sprinkler plans as required for clearing equipment trouble
Standing, stooping, lifting ,climbing ,crawling
Valid driver's license required.
