Pay and Benefits Disclosure:
Sales advisors will receive uncapped commission plus a training wage of up to $4,000 over the first 8 weeks of employment. Commissions are paid on a percentage of the products or services sold and eligible for a monthly performance bonus. Based upon performance, new sales advisors can expect to earn $105,000, while experienced sales advisors can earn over $150,000. Position Summary:
The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who is responsible for alleviating concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. The Residential Service Technician advises customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections.
* Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.

As a Broadband Technician III, you will perform extremely complex installations, disconnects, and service changes for residential and business customers, including FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and support PON/Metro E. These services include, but are not limited to, video service, HSD Services, and home/business phone service. This role performs advanced troubleshooting from the tap to the customer's electronic devices (TV, DVD, Modem etc.). This position will be responsible for installing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining aerial, buried, and/or underground fiber optic and copper cable. This position will be knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of telecommunications.
Due to in-field support and on-call requirements, the individual selected for this position will be required to reside within a 60-minute driving distance from the Mooresville, NC warehouse located at: 420 S Academy St, Mooresville, NC 28115.
This position can be hired at either a Broadband Technician I (2025-28455), Broadband Technician II (2025-28429) or Broadband Technician III (2025-28430) level depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Different job postings exist for each of these positions. Responsibilities
Performs complex installation of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer's equipment for reception of cable and other company services that are offered for single, multi-family, and/or commercial dwellings. This may include subject matter expertise related to the RF distribution of signals. All aspects of the network from the optical node to the distribution tap may be included as subject matter criteria. This may include system architecture - design principles and HFC architecture; distribution components - actives, passives, and coaxial cable; signal types - analog, modulation schemes, frequency spectrum, and impairments; and maintenance and troubleshooting - sweeping, FCC rules, retum path, test equipment, status monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
Performs connects (new connects and reconnects), disconnects (requested and non-pays), upgrades, downgrades, and relocates; installs additional outlets, fiber connections, hardline cutovers, and installs or removes equipment (i.e. converters).
Performs all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC NEC, and NESC).
Tests equipment to identify and repair signal strength issues and ensure optimum reception. Uses Locators, TDR's, FDR's and read system maps required.
Monitors and records system, drop, and in-house leakage; properly records all required information on work orders, surveys, referrals, etc.
Promotes cable, internet, and other company services; educates customer on proper use of the service, including how to add additional services, channel lineups, proper equipment usage, and other services that are available.

2+ years technical telecommunications experience -OR- current/prior military service with honorable discharge.
1+ year of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

As a Broadband Technician II, you will perform intermediate to complex installations, disconnects and service changes for residential customers, including FTTH (Fiber to the Home RFoG and GPON). Responsibilities
Performs intermediate and complex installation of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap/MST to the customer's equipment for reception of cable and other company services that are offered for single, multi-family customers and/or commercial dwellings over both Fiber Optic and Coax delivery methods. Position may be responsible for inspection and correction of NESC safety violations for new construction builds and new service drops and legacy facilities, . Position may be responsible for the coordination of underground drop burial work with contractor and in-house underground burial crews, filling out, submitting and pickup up permits from government agencies as required to perform work in the ROW, tracking and updating status within the systems. Duties also include inspections ensuring that work performed meets all construction and government standards and pre-inspection verifies of serviceability of new customers in regards to finding the best, most efficient and cost effective routes to provide service.
Performs connects (new connects and reconnects), disconnects, upgrades, downgrades, relocates, install additional outlets, fiber connections, and hardline cutovers; installs or removes equipment (i.e. converters) at single or multiple unit dwellings.
Utilizes test equipment to identify and repair signal strength issues and ensure optimum reception both optical and RF. Uses Locators, TDR's, FDR's and OTDR's while read system maps. This may include interpretation of system maps, calculation of signal loss of cable lines and/or devices using signal level meters, reading and understanding plant blueprints and updates to blueprints (excluding main trunk lines). This may also include pole, ladder, tower or alternative structure climbing along with the potential use of a bucket truck.
Performs all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, NEC and NESC).
Monitors and records system, drop, and in-house leakage; properly records all required information on work orders, surveys, referrals, etc.
Promotes cable, internet, and other company services; educates customer on proper use of the service, including how to add additional services, channel lineups, proper equipment usage, and other services that are available.

As a Broadband Technician I, you will perform basic installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers. These services include, but are not limited to, video service, HSD Services, and home phone service and installation. This role performs basic troubleshooting from the tap to the customer's electronic devices (TV, DVD, Modem etc.). This position will assist with installing, splicing, repairing and maintaining aerial, buried, and/or underground fiber optic and copper cable.
Due to in-field support and on-call requirements, the individual selected for this position will be required to reside within a 60-minute driving distance from the Mooresville, NC warehouse located at: 420 S Academy St, Mooresville, NC 28115.
This position can be hired at either a Broadband Technician I (2025-28455), Broadband Technician II (2025-28429) or Broadband Technician III (2025-28430) level depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Different job postings exist for each of these positions. Responsibilities
Perform connects (new connects and reconnects), disconnects (requested and non-pays), upgrades, downgrades, and relocates; install additional outlets and install or remove equipment (i.e. converters).
Perform basic installation of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer's equipment for reception of cable and other company services that are offered for single and multi-family.
This may include burial of underground Broadband facilities utilizing different methods of placement, including excavation or hand digging for the placement of drop facilities to customer premise, streets and right of way and placement of conduit to customer premise, in streets and the right of ways as well as pulling of hardline into conduits after placement of conduits. Position may also be responsible for placement of conduit structure in new subdivision joint trench construction projects
Perform all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, NEC and NESC)

Assure proper signal levels and picture quality on all television sets, and clean the premises of all debris and material after installation is complete

Promote cable, internet, and other company services; educate customer on proper use of the service, including how to add additional services, channel lineups, proper equipment usage, and other services that are available.
Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
