Role accountabilities: Field activities may include the following: * Oversight of drilling operations (installing monitoring wells and soil or rock descriptions) * Soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards * Emergency response * Operation and maintenance of subsurface remediation systems Field activities may also include oversight of subcontractors, conducting aquifer pump testing, and supervising the inspection, testing, and repair or alteration of underground and aboveground storage tanks. Office responsibilities may include the following: * Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data) * Assisting with writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda * Preparing cost estimates and proposals * Coordinating work schedules with subcontractors Other office responsibilities may include conducting project-related research-such as gathering historical data and reviewing relevant regulations-preparing periodic status and program reports, and producing figures, maps, and boring logs to support project documentation and analysis.
