Maxim Healthcare Services is looking for compassionate caregiversseeking to impact the lives of clients in the Bay Area. The Companion Caregiverwill provide assistance allowing a variety of individuals to maintainindependence in their home setting. Both full and part time positionsavailable.
This Position:

We are currently looking for a caregiver available near Walnut Creek to work part time in the afternoon to evenings on week days. The companion caregiver must be comfortable with working with kids or adults with autism.

Job Type: Part Time

Patient Territory: Contra Costa County

Schedule: PMs

General Companion Duties and Responsibilities:

*Duties and Responsibilities varies on a case-by-case basis

· Responsible for basic ADL services such as bathing, grooming and feeding, light housekeeping, andgrocery shopping.

· Gives patientsimportant social and emotional support.

· Provides "hands off"care such as: providing and encouraging socialization, encouraging a mildexercise program, giving reminders to take medications, supervising the safetyof the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing, and assisting withgrocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores.

· Arrives at the client'shome on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete.

· Performs all CompanionCaregiver duties in an accurate and timely manner.

· Maintainsconfidentiality of all client information, in accordance with HIPAA standards.

· Safeguards theclient/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures includingbut not limited to universal precautions.

· Notifies the office ofany abnormal findings or conditions.

· Adheres to Companion Caregiverstandards and procedures of the Company.

· Represents the Companywith a positive image at all times.

· Demonstratesflexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all clients.

· Effectivelycommunicates with the office staff, including availability to work.

· Adheres to time andattendance policies.

· Providesrequirements-related information (Annual PPD, In-services, etc.) in a timelyfashion; follows all other compliance standards at all times.

Requirements:

· O ne year working as a caregiver (preferred)

· CurrentFirst Aid and CPR certification (pediatrics and adults)

· TB Test

· Reliabletransportation

· FlexibleSchedule
