**Position description**
Mayo Clinic's Department of Psychiatry and Psychology in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking an outstanding academic psychiatrist, with an interest in hospital psychiatry, to join our adult psychiatry hospitalist team. This unique position provides the opportunity to practice broadly, across multiple areas, or focus on an area or two of interest. Practice opportunities include psychiatric emergency service, psychiatric consultation liaison service, our specialized mood disorder unit, geriatric and medical psychiatric unit, and adult acute care unit. As an academic institution, active engagement in research and education is expected with new resources available for program development and scholarly pursuits. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience. All of our hospital services take particular pride in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. Teams are comprised of clinicians (psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, social workers), nursing, and learners of all levels (medical students, resident physicians, fellows, nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, nursing students).
