PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for providing specialized training and programming, collection analysis, Readers' Advisory and in-depth reference assistance, including providing customers with resources and referrals. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Proactively provides a high level of customer service and assists customers through various aspects of utilizing the library, including expert level reference service in person, over the phone, by email and chat.
* Initiates the development, implementation and promotion of adult, teen, and children's programs to increase awareness of library resources.
* Provides readers' advisory to customers (in person and virtually) using appropriate sources of information including knowledge of the collection, the publishing industry and relevant resources.
* Evaluates and provides feedback on the location's collection and leads collection management and merchandizing activities based on knowledge of the community needs, usage levels, and relevance of materials.
* Constructs and applies a detailed approach to training for customers and staff on the use of library resources (print and digital) and/or community resources. Models the use of such resources.

The DDS ASD program provides services to adults 22 years and older with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are being served by the Department of Developmental Disabilities and aim to help individuals navigate a variety of social settings and teach individuals to interpret social cues. ASD provides specialized clinical services which include cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. The DDS ABI program serves adults with Acquired Brain Injury who are referred by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. The goal of this program is to provide individualized services to help adults live independently in their own apartment. Services include finding accessible housing, coordinating healthcare, supervising PCAs and arranging for transportation.
In this role, the Clinician will provide mobile clinical case management support to individuals in Northern Worcester County with Acquired Brain Injury and those on the Autism Spectrum. They will coordinate with other members of the treatment team including family members, DDS, day programs, personal providers, and allied health providers including the VNA.
Key responsibilities include:
Establish engagement with individuals served employing Motivational Interviewing/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills.
Participate in treatment planning in order to develop appropriate, effective and achievable treatment goals and objectives.
Facilitate therapeutic groups with people served/staff.
Prepare Individualized Positive Behavioral Supports, Targeted/Intensive Plans and Medication Treatment plans for individuals living in the homes as clinically indicated.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in social services field, required
Must be License Eligible or be a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC. LRC, LADAC I).
