As a Clinical Services Administrator, you will assist in the day to day operations of psychological services for ACLD's Residential programs under the direction of the Assistant Director of Psychology Services. Duties will include ensuring regulatory compliance, development of behavior support plans, monitoring behavior data and supervision of assigned staff.
As a Clinical Services Administrator, you will:
Assist the Assistant Director to train and support new hires
Support the Behavior Intervention Specialists by conducting observations, providing onsite support, attending clinical meetings as requested, assisting with the development of behavioral supports, and monitoring behavioral data
Provide coverage in absence of a BIS
Oversee the delivery of all psychological services and ensure that services and program environments are of the highest quality
Design and establish monitoring systems which promote organizational efficiencies as well as compliance with ACLD policies
Provide BIS services within assigned caseload
Coordinate and facilitate Psychology Review and special case review meetings and generate meeting agendas and minutes
Participate in behavioral interventions, including the implementation of SCIP-R maneuvers when necessary
Participate in all OPWDD surveys of all assigned programs
Perform quality assurance for the department including tracking due dates of paperwork and completing initial reviews of behavior plans
Maintain regular communication with the residential administration at the respective programs
Organize and track, review and submit Human Rights Committee documentation
Other duties as assigned
We require:
Master's degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology or applied psychology as it related to human development and clinical interventions and documented trainings in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development; or a National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology that is approved by OPWDD; or a New York State license in mental health counseling:
Minimum of five years of experience working directly with the I/DD population, including the development, implementation and monitoring of behavior support plans; and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans
In lieu of 5 years' experience will consider candidates that have obtained OPWDD approved training or experience in functional assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience preferred
Complete required trainings in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)and CPR
Clean, valid NYS driver's license.

When a group of families came together in 1957 to find services for their children with developmental disabilities, ACLD was born. Today, we are a leading not-for-profit agency employing 1000+ staff and providing over 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk. ACLD assists children, teens and adults in reaching the highest level of independence with the freedom to ASPIRE HIGHER in their hopes, dreams and accomplishments. We are currently seeking a few exceptional people who have a passion to create a meaningful impact in the lives of the amazing people we support.
Provide nutritional services to the people we support who reside in ACLD's care. These services would consist of individual assessment, coordinating with providers for diet orders and coordinating all implementation and staff training at the residences.
Requirements
Registered Dietician accredited by the American Dietetics Association
At least one year experience with the developmentally disabled population
A minimum of 85% field work is required
Credentials for providing diabetic training to the Residential Nursing team are also preferred.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Substantial reasoning skills required including the ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete issues simultaneously; the ability to identify problems, interpret data and draw conclusions; and the ability to apply principles in logic or theoretical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to coach and counsel, interpret and advise, and the ability to develop and present to professional forums.
Flexibility in scheduling to ensure availability to meet with both staff and people we support for nutritional assessment and training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Essential Functions
Assess nutritional needs and diet restrictions in accordance with all medical providers and any ancillary service providers to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
Educate and inform the entire clinical team of healthy choices, menu planning, good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutritional monitoring that will improve the overall dietary health of the people we support.
Incorporate recommended dietary restrictions affiliated with medical diagnoses (including, but not limited to obesity, diabetes, hypercholerolemia, hypertension and PKU) into menu development.
Assist with recipe development and food shopping choices based on the needs of the people we support.
Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, OSHA and all other quality standards.
Prescribe modified or special diets in a variety of residential settings to people we support who have been identified by their physicians as requiring modified or special diets.
Participate in supervision sessions to discuss plans of care, documentation of nutritional oversight, and any obstacles to the Administration of menu plans as written.

Maintain updated monthly and/or quarterly progress notes and write clear, concise daily notes.
