It's a check
High turnover means you are always training
Some of the employees, but not so much for the manager. Would rather have previous managers from different jobs that I can say they were the best.
Management need better training.
Discounts
CEO I don’t know him personally or have I worked for him. Leadership team I don’t see none where I work.
Get rid of the managers that just sit in one location and not help out to build the store up. Being a GM doesn’t mean you sit in your office and not help out at the it means you get to know your team very well and help out in the locations that they are not owning or managing in their position. That’s management done the right way.
Well I had put in for a driver position at the store near me and the manager called me from another store which I never applied for. I told them my situation and he said we were good and would you be interested in the commercial position. And I said yes, so we went for it.
A little low, as I’ve seen what the average R.P.P. Is suppose to be making.
Needs a lot of work. I notice a lot of things that happens at work but nobody knows or says anything.
When the GM is not around, everything is self sailing when he is not around. The work gets done.
Taking care of customers and providing customer service.
Stressful environment, long hours, upper management has no clue what happens in our stores.
system was easy to use.
Schedule flexibility. Clean stores. I like my delivery truck.
I prefer weekly pay periods. I want more money.
401k, pet insurance, life lock benefit
I love cars and working on them restoring classic cars
Manager he was one sided
Discount for parts and knowledge I learned
Great training, positive environment, encouragement, discount, open door policy, freedom to be comfortable in your own skin and be as excited and knowledgeble as you desire, in the industry.
I get to help people complete their enthusiast thirst in the best possible solution without pressure, overspending the budget, with quality parts I trust and have decades of experience and the core values attitude and culture is aligned to my best lifestyle as well. I get goosebumps at the automotive smells and I am respected in my efforts, knowledge, and experience as a professional.
The salary is less than entry level positions at generic retail comparables. The hiring process is lengthy, some of the stores are dated and not as I'd have expected but also it's an auto parts store and the clientele expects an experience of a certain communication to be restrained.
Customer service, team atmosphere, high demand business.
Poor and high turnover management, zero ability to advance, ridiculously expensive and poor health benefits.
The awesome helpful team atmosphere.
Nothing. They work you to death
After hired in. They forget about you almost push you out. There very clique and if you don't conform to that they play games to push you out. Nothing to retain great employees
There are no incentives for staying here or working here
I've met some good people at some of the shops .
From the top down there is no leadership or coordination . As a corporation it does nothing to retain employees and everything to get rid of them . They are pricing themselves out of the market and the store brand products are horrible .
There are no perks or benefits .
The people is what I liked most about the job.
Not climate controlled , that is the only thing I didn’t like.
Work/life balance. They worked with you if you had an emergency or needed to be off for certain things
Safety first culture. The people.
No good opportunities for advancement. No merit rise in IT.
Paycheck
The costumers are very nice and I love talking to people
Heavy stuff to carry
For now nothing
Great Manager to work with and great discounts
Variable hours and the pay
Great discounts on auto parts
It is busy and energizing there.
It is a Male dominated business, treat women like second class citizens, and chauvinistic
The job itself was not bad it was really easy to do and it was laid back
The staff
none
Great customers, flexible schedule, automotive knowledge
Lack of opportunities for career advancement
Paid vacation
LEARNING MORE ABOUT CARS
NOT REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO DO
LEARNING MORE ABOUT CARS
My co workers and DM is fun to work with and they make you feel like family.
N/A
The health benefits
Nothing was good
Bad management, no accountability among store workers, pay rate is a complete joke, made more per hour in the mid 80's, no benefits for part time, most store are full of part time people. Parts prices are extremely high
No perks/benefits available
I'm going to assume you ment car lmao I guess the "worst" thing I've ever found in someones car is a bag a weed. That was odd lol. Uhm. I also once found an ANCIENT bowl (for more weed smoking) in another car. it was in a tiny little carrying case and it was FILLED with mold. I've never washed my hands harder after opening that carrying case. In one of my own cars I found (If I remember correctly) 37 un-smoked cigarettes under the passenger seat. They were just... under there, no packs, none of them smoked, they were just under there. I have no idea why lol I guess the previous owner was a smoker who didn't pay attention. I guess I'm lucky and haven't found anything like disgusting or like super illegal. Or people are just getting their stuff out before bringing it to me, which is nice.
Basically I had been working on cars for a while, and had a job that I really really disliked. I noticed my local AAP was hiring so I said "I like cars, lets throw an app in" few days later I got the interview call. Then 2 days later I got the "Congrats, you got the job. Your background search is happening currently, go take your drug test. Once that all comes in you get your first day" Pretty easy. I've talked to my manager (the guy who interviewed me) about what made him choose me. He said I was more knowledge able than most people and I had a good personality and that I'd be good with customers and coworkers.
