Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Registered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARMDS
Technologists with MR Technologist Assistant oversight must be MR registered. ARMRIT certification accepted as allowable by customer contract.
If Akumin is billing Medicare, registry in Magnetic Resonance is Required.
MR registered technologist R.T. (MR) ARRT or ARMRIT
Technologist registered in other modalities
3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program

As a PRN MRI Technologist, you are required to produce cross-sectional images for medical interpretation through radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic purposes. The technologist performs MRI procedures by acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The technologists independently perform or assist a licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast administration in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy. They will interact with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors through oral communication and documentation in the patient's electronic medical record. This position is held accountable for performing the correct MRI exams and producing high quality diagnostic images, while maintaining proficiency and complying with company policies and procedures. The role will require flexibility with availability as a per-diem technologist, responding promptly to requests for coverage due to absences or vacations, and covering at minimum one shift in a 30 day period.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Be responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, restricting patients, staff, and visitor access related to zones, screening, equipment, and exam scanning as deemed necessary and exercise individual thought, judgment and discretion in the performance of the procedure, aseptic injection technique and may require oversight of remote MRI Technologist Assistants.
Produces high quality diagnostic images in accordance with company imaging protocols, RadSite Accreditation guidelines, and ARRT/ARMRIT practice standards. Knowledge and ability to demonstrate competency of differing MR equipment and power injection equipment. Maintain levels of quality that meet or exceed customer expectations through process improvement and a team-oriented approach. Complete annual and on-going education and site specific competencies/in-services as designated by leadership.
Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists. Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict. Maintain confidentiality in matters relating to patients, family and staff in compliance with HIPAA.
Demonstrate independent competency in contrast safety and administration, including starting and discontinuing peripheral IV's, and administration of contrast through other vascular access points such as ports, CVL's and PICC lines if indicated. Demonstrate proficiency of Akumin's EMR systems, as well as PACS and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or through a remote command center as needed.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT
State license, if applicable required.
CPR Certification, BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). ACLS certification where applicable.

Prospects and targets new referrers based on market trends and conditions; uses consultative selling skills to engage new referrers and probes potential referrer to uncover competitive takeaways based on unmet needs.
Analyzes marketed account referral patterns in order to strategically plan time in the field and associated actions plans to drive referrals; monitors variances/trends associated with existing referral base, works with operations management to determine possible causes for changes in referral patterns.
Works in conjunction with territory Physician Sales and Operations
leadership to establish realistic customer and territory plans that will deliver on the territory's budgeted same-store-growth, scan volume, target and revenue commitments.
Identifies specific risks to the referral base and implements targeted community outreach programs such as territory-level educational campaigns,
health fairs and other events to promote consumer awareness.
Participates in operational meetings in assigned territory, providing status updates as well as identifying areas for Physician Sales to engage strategically with larger team. May participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with key strategic accounts.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Overview:
13-Week Assignment

Day Shift
40 Hours Per Week
8-5pm- Flexible Shift
On-call, Holiday and some weekend rotations.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of MRI and MRA procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols and assists the Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Technologist will operate MRI scanner, all RF coils, MRI workstations, laser cameras, film processors, patient monitoring equipment, MR injectors.
They will assist patients in understanding procedures, screen for Biomedical and metallic implants; ask pertinent questions regarding medical history, change patients into dressing gowns.
Perform proper procedures and protocols for various studies done in the section. The MRI Technologist will treat all patients professionally and function as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishments of their imaging needs.
Experience:
2+ Years as an MRI Technologist
Must hold ARRT registered in MRI
CPR required
Pay:
Weekly Pay
Travel: $3000/Per Week
Local: $70/Hour
