The Electro-mechanical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for evaluating and refining current manufacturing processes and working with our Contract Manufacturers to establish best practices. The Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will be involved in the continued refinement of our production process to ensure that products can be manufactured to specifications. What You'll Do
As an Electromechanical (EM) Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Develop and implement manufacturing processes to ensure products are manufactured to the required specifications and standards. This includes creating work instructions, assembly procedures, and fixturing for the manufacturing process.
Work within the Engineering team to drive design for manufacturing and assembly early in the design process for new product development.
Evaluate and troubleshoot electromechanical systems including boards, communications, mechanical, simple vacuum system and handpieces issues.
Manage the manufacturing process to ensure that the products are manufactured to the required specifications and timelines. This includes monitoring the manufacturing process, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that the products meet the required quality standards.
Ensure that the manufacturing process and products comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. This includes working with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, supply chain, and logistics, to ensure the successful manufacturing and delivery of products.
Continuously improve manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process changes.
Conduct supplier audits to ensure that the third-party manufacturers are complying with the required standards and regulations. This includes conducting on-site visits and assessments of the manufacturers' quality systems and assessments of the manufacturers' quality systems and
processes.
Manage relationships with third-party manufacturers to ensure that they are meeting the required performance standards. This includes communicating performance expectations, addressing performance issues, and negotiating contracts and pricing
Contribute to FMEAs and risk documentation as a technical subject matter expert.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent job experience
5+ years of related engineering experience, preferably in new product development environment. Medical device experience desired.
Proficiency in designing and developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, and test fixtures.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six-Sigma Principles.
Familiarity with SPC and Statistical Sampling techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
Experience using statistical analysis software is a plus.

Electronics Engineer

The Electronics Engineer is the Company's subject matter expert for electronics engineering projects for the aviation and military product lines. The Electronics Engineer works closely with a small engineering team including Production Engineer, consulting design engineer, and engineering technicians for product design, continuing engineering, design for manufacturing, and introduction of new and re-designed product to the manufacturing floor. This is a key position with considerable responsibility and related growth opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Supports regular engineering team meetings for continuing engineering and design projects
Provides primary electronics design engineering new and existing products
Works with Production Engineer to provide direct product support of the manufacturing floor
Supports Quality for root cause and corrective action for products returned from the field
Provides technical interface with customer engineers for new and existing products.
Provides electronic circuit and printed circuit board design working with consulting engineer
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
At least 2-3 years demonstrable experience in the required skill areas
Intermediate or Advanced circuit design and troubleshooting capabilities
Intermediate or Advanced printed circuit board design and related software experience
Electro-mechanical product design experience
Electronic testing and troubleshooting to the component level
Excellent technical documentation skills
High level interpersonal skills at staff and hourly levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering support experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in electro-mechanical products design and manufacturing
Proficiency in programming/coding at C-level
Proficiency in microprocessor and firmware coding
