The Role As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs integral to both small and large-scale hydro and dam projects. You will lead and mentor teams, support management of production and coordinate delivery of engineering work products often with multi-disciplinary project team members and external stakeholders. You will not only support and help grow the broader engineering team capabilities, but your particular focus will be on continuing the development of our hydropower capabilities and working with key staff in growing the business. You'll also be involved in supporting project management duties, coordinating with internal and external clients as well as assisting with guiding and mentoring other engineers within the team. In this role you will lead teams conducting technical work for feasibility studies, engineering designs, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and carrying out inspections for rehabilitation projects for dams and hydroelectric facilities. About You and The Role As a Process Engineer on the Service Tooling & Processes team, you will design, validate, and optimize the workflows that enable Zipline's technicians to maintain the P2 fleet safely, consistently, and efficiently. You'll translate engineering intent into scalable processes, implement lean methodologies, and ensure that service procedures are robust enough for diverse operating environments. This role is highly cross-functional, bridging engineering, maintenance, and operations, so that every maintenance action contributes to safety, reliability, and fleet health. What You'll Do Design, document, and refine standardized maintenance processes, from inspections and servicing to component replacements and complex repairs. Validate processes in the field through pilots and technician feedback, ensuring usability, repeatability, and safety. Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Reliability, and Tooling teams to align process design with aircraft and service architecture. Apply lean principles, error-proofing mechanisms, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce variability. Establish process control mechanisms and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Create process documentation, work instructions, and visual aids that enable frontline technicians to execute tasks consistently. Partner with Data and Reliability teams to define KPIs, track performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead root cause investigations for process-related issues and implement corrective/preventive actions. Provide structured feedback loops to engineering on design-for-maintainability. Partner with training program leadership to ensure process changes are embedded into training programs for technicians. What You'll Bring 4-6 years of experience in mechanical or mechatronic design, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or industrial tooling. Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, additive manufacturing, machining, etc.). Experience with GD&T and technical drawing best practices. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical solutions clearly. Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. What Else You Need to Know The starting cash range for this role is $160,000 - $170,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. We are representing a long-standing aerospace components manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support new product introduction, improve existing machining processes, and strengthen quality and production performance. This position is on-site and works closely with production, quality, and customer engineering teams. Role Overview The Manufacturing Process Engineer will own the development, documentation, and optimization of machining processes for precision components. This includes interpreting customer requirements, designing fixturing and tooling, sequencing operations, and supporting the shop floor to ensure repeatability, quality, and cost-effective production. This role is technical, hands-on, and central to meeting both customer and internal performance expectations. Responsibilities • Create BOMs, routings, item masters, and maintain all related data within the ERP system • Review contracts for new parts and determine required materials, documentation, and flow-down requirements • Analyze prints, drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop efficient manufacturing processes • Interpret GD&T, work instructions, and in-process control plans • Collaborate with customers to clarify drawings, specifications, or discuss potential design improvements • Support production in resolving tooling, fixturing, and machining issues • Design or redesign fixtures, work holding, and tooling required for production or quality needs • Develop process drawings and detailed work instructions • Assist with estimating activities related to process steps, tolerances, and manufacturability concerns • Manage internal, customer, and regulatory requirement flow-downs to suppliers and vendors • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities • Support repeat jobs and maintain consistency of established processes • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and demonstrate a positive, reliable work ethic • Contribute to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System through process improvements and compliance • Work effectively across teams and with supplier partners Qualifications • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering • Ability to interpret customer drawings, specifications, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation • Minimum of 4 years of experience with CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam, Unigraphics, or SolidWorks • Demonstrated ability to design work holding, fixturing, and select appropriate tooling • Skilled in sequencing part processes to meet quality, cost, and throughput objectives • Strong troubleshooting skills related to fixturing, tooling, machining strategy, and process flow • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining or precision fabrication environment • Familiarity with ERP systems and the creation/maintenance of BOMs, routings, and item masters • Experience working with customers and cross-functional teams on technical issues
