Job Purpose
The Product Validation Engineering Co-op will support CNH's construction equipment validation efforts by working closely with test engineers, technicians, and fellow co-ops throughout the product development lifecycle. This role provides hands-on exposure to equipment testing, data acquisition, and troubleshooting, while contributing to the validation of new and updated products prior to release.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with instrumentation setup and execution of validation testing on construction equipment

Preferred Qualifications

As a Senior Staff Gear Engineer for Allison Transmission Gear Systems team, you will be responsible for the gear design and development associated with new transmissions and transmission variants, while also providing directly support to problem resolution and cost optimization efforts for existing product lines across all end markets. * Utilizes strong communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with stakeholders, ensuring customer needs are understood and addressed through practical and mutually beneficial engineering solutions
* Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation to ensure traceability, support engineering decisions, and enable knowledge retention
* Stay current with industry advancements in gear design, analysis, manufacturing techniques, post-processing treatments, and materials to inform and enhance engineering best practices
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Master's degree in related Engineering field, preferred
* Excellent oral and written (e.g. presentations) communication skills
* Demonstrated history of developing solutions to complex technical challenges
* Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple different programs simultaneously
* 15+ years of engineering experience in gear systems design analysis and manufacturing
* Strong problem solving techniques including but not limited to; Red X, Kepner Tregoe, 8D, Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis
* 5+ years of experience modelling in SMT Masta, Romax or KISSsoft or comparable, preferred
* Proficient on gear manufacturing processes, and heat treatments
* Working knowledge of tribology, preferred
* Familiar with 3D CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX) and GD&T
* Ability to read, interpret and create detail drawings and blueprints
