Job Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure battery pack manufacturing equipment and processes are within compliance and operate efficiently.
Analyze, develop, and improve battery pack manufacturing equipment, processes, standards, and strategies.
Provide detailed battery pack design for manufacture (DFM) advice to R&D and lead implementation of battery design and process changes in assembly.
Work with R&D to optimize battery pack design and production.
Implementation of engineering changes in battery pack production.
Testing and validation of battery components, assemblies, manufacturing processes, and new manufacturing methods.
Battery manufacturing trouble shooting.
Drive or provide input for new production equipment justification and implementation for battery manufacturing.
Develop training and documentation for battery production, testing, and validation.
Work with or lead support groups to identify and drive corrective actions for process quality and performance issues.
Apply strong communication skills in cross-functional team.
Maintains appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work levels and schedules, labor hour and training programs. Maintains conformance with STIHL employee and safety rules and regulations, issues violation warnings and administers approved disciplinary measures when necessary. General Description
Masonite's Global Operations is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Group. The AME Group works with the Product Development and Division Engineering teams to integrate new innovative manufacturing technologies in both new and existing products/processes. In this position, the engineer will manage the design and equipment/machinery development to optimize the manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Masonite Innovation Center (MIC) Product Development Team to manage the manufacturing processes integration in Operations (manufacturing plants).
Working cross functionally within a matrix organization.
Coordinate with Division Engineering team the development of advanced technologies in the manufacturing processes at the plants with the goal of improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency.
Maintain broad knowledge of product design, manufacturing and assembly techniques. Work and coordinate with Division's Strategy Teams to implement AME strategies at the most logical locations based on divisions growth goals and objectives

Design of systems that provide the best-fit and offer highly consistent products for customers at a lower price than traditional models.Estimate resource requirements, workload assignment, production times and schedule for manufacturing processes.Develop standard procedures to improve manufacture processes and to reduce overall cost.Research and work with sourcing team to arrange purchase of production equipment, materials, and parts based on product specifications Conduct regular project meetings with management and team members to track project status and progress Developing processes that are quickly scalable (replication) Mentor and train plant personnel to develop their capability in automated operations
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering technical degree
5+ years of experience in the field of manufacturing, automation and/or manufacturing robotic
Experience with taking large and complex projects from the original concept through final implementation.
Strong computer skills are required
