The contracted Nurse Practitioner shall interview and examine patients, review past medical history and request and/ or perform diagnostic tests and examinations as necessary to make diagnosis for primary care services. MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
