Schedule: Flexible Daytime Hours Monday - Friday
We are currently seeking a motivated, kind individual who will perform CT exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Operate highly complex CT equipment/scanners with demonstrated exceptional competence by selecting and establishing technical factors that will ensure high quality diagnostic images at the lowest possible dose.Operate multiple power injectors, cardiac monitors, and other CT equipment safely, efficiently and effectively.Work with IT department/CT engineers to ensure RIS/PACS software and hardware works efficiently with all CT equipment.Monitor CT system performance and identify service needs to optimize equipment performance. Schedule appropriate maintenance times with vendors and service representative.Define referring physicians' preferences for receiving images, obtain agreement and/or modifications from ARC physicians, communicate protocols and ensure appropriate delivery per agreements.Receive and analyze requests for radiologic CT exams and recommend action to AR physicians. Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Office Manager and Lead MRI Technologist, is instructed and mentored by senior staff on a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality MRI images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. The MRI trainee is expected to complete ARRT MRI certification in a specified timeframe.
MRI Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The trainee will be trained on proper protocol while shadowing and completing MR training to demonstrate the ability to fulfill all functions of an MRI technologist
The trainee will be supervised by a board-certified MRI technologist
Under the supervision of the MRI trainer, properly documents appropriate histories and completes all necessary paperwork
Performs MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality and timeliness
Demonstrates competence regarding MRI screening safety
Knowledge of all MRI policies and procedures including MRI safety
Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions
Competence in administering of I.V. contrast
Prepares examination room to ensure a clean and safe environment with adequate supplies to ensure efficient and accurate performance of exams
Performs various document keeping, customer service functions, and communicates feedback to ensure the goals of the department are met and operations run efficiently
Conducts quality control measures to monitor machine performance and reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the office manager
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness
Monitors and maintains current department inventory
Exhibits a positive and professional image and communication with patients, physicians, co-workers and peers
Focuses on customer service and uses courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere
To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the Advanced Radiology Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location
This position will work a variable schedule Monday through Saturday
Must be willing to work rotating shifts as needed for patient care

Physical demands/Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a radiology imaging outpatient department. Work may require sitting or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for supplies, and files. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to palpate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Lifting to 30 pounds may be required. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment is required. Operating knowledge of radiographic equipment is mandatory. Contact with patients, interaction with physicians, and office staff is constant.

P osition Summary:
An Authorization & Account Verification Specialist reviews radiology orders to verify demographic information, insurance eligibility, review prior-authorization requirements, initiate or verify authorization for requested examination CPT code (when applicable) by insurance, third party liability or other and follow medical policies when applicable. Entering complete and accurate information in the patients account.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Review requested radiology order for patient demographic data, insurance/billing information, requested CPT and clinical information
Ensure all patient demographic and insurance information is current and accurate:
Utilizing EPIC EMR, referring office and/or patient to verify and update patient demographic data and insurance coverage, real-time eligibility, commercial insurance or third party websites, telephone verification or both to verify patient's coverage and benefits.
Verify prior authorization requirements for requested CPT by covering carrier
Obtain pre-authorizations on high modality imaging requests
Conduct a thorough review of all documentation submitted to support diagnostic imaging procedure; including script review from referring physician, detailed review of EMR and/or clinical information submitted by referring physician and review of patient insurance information.
Enters detailed notes regarding communication with insurance carriers and/or health care providers and steps taken in authorization process.
Verify referring office provided prior-authorization by patient, date of birth, referring provider, CPT and rendering company and/or location
Accurate and timely communication with needed staff on authorization issues.
Communicates regularly with insurance companies, health care providers, internal scheduling department, front desk coordinators and clinical staff at sites; on any exams that require clinical review and/or denials from insurance carriers.
Responds to telephone, electronic and in person inquires and complaints.
Thorough review of scheduled CT, MR, NM, PET, Doppler US patients to ensure accurate and timely receipt of demographic, insurance and clinical information required for the patient's examination.
Maintains positive relations and interactions with insurance companies, referring offices, patients and internal ARC staff.
Demonstrates initiative in problem solving and resolving customer satisfaction issues.
Audits their own work to ensure quality and reports safety or quality events
Attends meetings, training, learning and development sessions as required
Respects patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA standards.

The primary function of this position is split between front desk duties and assisting the technologist with patient care. The Physician Assistant will provide care in both outpatient and hospital settings for new and established patients.
Responsibilities will include:
· Assisting supervising Radiologist as necessary in basic and advanced imaged guided procedures.
· Ensuring excellent patient care and coordinating smooth patient flow, providing care from initial patient contact through procedures, and follow-up office visits as necessary .
· Assisting/Coordinating Pre and post-procedure patient education and follow-up.
· Accurately documenting all services in patient medical record in a manner consistent with CPT coding and practice/hospital policies.

Specific duties and responsibilities for a Radiology IV Nurse job description include:
Performs venipuncture for IV catheter placement by following guidance from the Infusion Nurses Society
Provides and assists oral contrast to patients
Demonstrates proficiency in accessing power ports and power PICCS
Communicates procedural details and guidance to patients
Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with the policies and procedures set by Advanced Radiology and the Infusion Nurses Society
Adheres to infection control guidelines
Reviews all necessary documentation to properly screen and assess the patient prior to the exam.
Manages patient responses to treatments, including any reactions, side effects extravasation, or complications
Provides training and competency evaluations for all Technologists performing venipuncture, focusing on infection control and proper technique
Maintains accurate inventory of the code cart, including but not limited to replacing and/or updating supplies and medications as needed

Reviews lab results and possible collection of samples

The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.
The X-Ray (General Radiologic) Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm. Saturday coverage on a rotating schedule 8am-12pm.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
Operating knowledge of radiographic equipment.
Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas..
Reviews all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
Performs related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
Assists in the managing of the radiographic procedures through the coordination of resources, to facilitate optimal efficiency. Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
Performs warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the equipment for patient imaging.
Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
Maintains certification and licensure by attending continuing education classes.

Position Summary:

The MRI trainee is expected to complete ARRT MRI certification in a specified timeframe.
MRI Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The trainee will be trained on proper protocol while shadowing and completing MR training to demonstrate the ability to fulfill all functions of an MRI technologist

We are looking for a Patient Services Specialist/PCA to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45am - 3:15pm with Saturday rotation The primary function of this position is split between front desk duties and assisting the technologist with patient care. To ensure patient comfort and exceptional service while providing complete, accurate information to patients, staff, ARC physicians, and referring physicians to support the highest standard of compassionate patient care and efficient operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with warmth, compassion, and demonstrated commitment to exceptional service.
Communicate with referring physicians, patients and others by telephone to provide information, answer questions, schedule appointments and call backs, etc.
Complete patient admission process accurately and efficiently.
Provide and explain exam preps to patients, resolve patients' questions or concerns; if necessary seek assistance from technologists or physicians.
Receive and record patient copays as required by health insurance carriers; ensure that collected cash and checks are processed according to established protocols and schedules.
Provide assistance to technologists, patient care assistants, physicians and other ARC staff as requested.
Scan documents accurately.
Ensure that incoming faxes are delivered and/or acted on immediately.
Maintain records of all outside reads; ensure that results are communicated on time.
Stocking and preparing radiologic rooms; and assisting the patient on and off the exam table.
Weekend hours required on rotating schedule.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced, high volume environment is a must
Strong typing skills desired
Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Graduate of Medical Office Assistant Program preferred
Minimum 1-2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Informs the supervisor of any equipment needing repair to ensure prompt service.
Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
Maintains certification and licensure by attending continuing education classes.
Educational Requirements:
College degree preferred
ARRT (RT)(R)(M) and CT State License required

Advanced Radiology Consultants is currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated Physician Assistant to provide high quality, efficient patient focused care in their busy Interventional Radiology section. The Physician Assistant will provide care in both outpatient and hospital settings for new and established patients.
Responsibilities will include:
· Assisting supervising Radiologist as necessary in basic and advanced imaged guided procedures.
· Ensuring excellent patient care and coordinating smooth patient flow, providing care from initial patient contact through procedures, and follow-up office visits as necessary .
· Assisting/Coordinating Pre and post-procedure patient education and follow-up.
· Accurately documenting all services in patient medical record in a manner consistent with CPT coding and practice/hospital policies.
· Recognizing emergency or urgent situations and acting immediately and effectively to provide necessary care, in coordination with supervising physicians.
· Consulting with Interventional Radiologist, and referring physicians as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education.
· Assisting in the resolution of requests and inquiries from patients.
The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program and be licensed in the State of Connecticut. Two (2) to Four (4) years of prior experience in radiology or other surgical specialties is preferred. Willing to consider other comparable experience.
No on-call duties, weekend shifts, or holiday work are required for this position.
