**Principal Duties/Responsibilities:**
· Performs competent break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to determine root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; and performing troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
· Identifies parts, supplies and repair items as necessary for equipment maintenance and repair.
· With minimal instruction, performs maintenance as per industry standards.
· Works with customer counterparts to execute maintenance, reliability, and preventative maintenance procedures.
· May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.
· Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes
· Documents work performed in service reports, and applicable management systems.
· Performs routine processes with and within industrial control systems to troubleshoots and analyzes complex equipment, perform equipment maintenance, and to resolve equipment problems.
· Utilizes in-depth application of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
· Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.
· Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:**
**Essential KSAs:**
· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
· Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.

· Possesses working knowledge and experience regarding electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems in related fields. Can analyze the problems, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs

Schneider Electric is in need to a Quality Technician in our West Chester, Ohio facility! The Quality Technician tests and inspects power distribution components and equipment in an engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing facility. In this role you will perform electrical testing, mechanical checking, and cosmetic inspection of a variety of complex switchboard and switchgear products ranging from 480v-38kv. Candidates will be required to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot complicated control systems, ground fault schemes, circuit breakers, and relays. Create test reports and maintain accurate records in compliance with UL and ISO requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Test and inspect electrical wiring systems for switchgear, UPS systems, panelboards, switches, transformers, and control devices.
Perform live electrical testing including but not limited to Hipot testing, contact resistance and insulation testing.
Perform mechanical inspections of complex power distribution equipment.
Ensure compliance with UL, ANSI, and ISO standards.
Perform cosmetic inspections of complete assemblies including painted and plated metal surfaces.
Provide quality feedback to production/assembly and engineering teams.
Support quality actions and initiatives within the operation, including but not limited to: Root cause analysis, non-compliance reviews, quality documentation, process reviews.
Collect and compile statistical quality data.
Ensure compliance in safety and quality procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and complex wiring diagrams.
Ability to troubleshoot devices electrically and mechanically.
Working knowledge of general purpose test equipment.
Knowledge of power distribution equipment and testing practices.
Ability to use common mechanic and wiring tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The intern will assist in designing electrical power distribution, grounding, lighting, and critical equipment needs for modular data centers while learning from experienced engineers.
What will you do? Assist in the design and preparation of electrical drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
Support the modification of wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, one-lines, and other standard electrical drawings.
Participate in the review and design of electrical systems to meet customer specifications.
Help develop solutions that align with the intended Sequence of Operations.
Maintain and assist in the approval of schematics and wiring diagrams that capture integration requirements for major equipment in the modular data center solution.
Contribute to the development of the Bill of Materials for electrical components of system designs.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and assist in design reviews.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with power systems design concepts, including sizing and protection.
Understanding of engineering document, codes, standards, and technical procedures.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Local to West Chester, Ohio and able to work full-time in person for Summer 2026 Preferred Qualifications: · Interest in data center electrical architectures and emerging technologies.
· Basic knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design principles.
· Experience in software tools such as Revit or BIM is a plus.
· Experience with electrical design and simulation tools such as ETAP and SKM is a plus.
· Engineer in Training (EIT) status or intent to pursue licensure in the future is preferred.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs competent break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to determine root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; and performing troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
