Partner with the Nylon Commercial Team to facilitate Customer Surveys, Audits, and inquiries. Collaborate with Production, R&D, and EHS teams to support quality initiatives and process optimization.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, and data reporting systems.
Evaluate vendor quality performance and support raw material qualification processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline.
5+ years in a quality role within the chemical or process manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, chemical testing methods, and SPC tools.
Experience with customer complaint handling and CAPA systems in a regulated environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, RC14001, and regulatory requirements related to chemical manufacturing.
Preferred:
Professional certifications such as CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Experience with LIMS and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the capital projects engineering team at AdvanSix. This role involves providing structural engineering support for all phases of capital projects at chemical plants: initial planning and scoping, detailed engineering and design, and construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Structural engineering and design for steel structures, equipment supports (pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.), pipe supports, pipe racks, concrete foundations for tanks / equipment, equipment pads, analysis of existing structures and foundations, underground piping, etc.
Developing conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and material take-offs for estimating during project scoping
Producing calculations, designs, specifications, scopes of work, engineering packages, sketches/drawings for procurement, bidding, and construction
Reviewing and checking vendor drawings, and other disciplines' drawings for structural input
Performing fieldwork to gather field data, check tie-ins, inspect / verify existing conditions, provide construction support, provide repair recommendations, etc.
Providing assistance and direction to the design team to produce drawings suitable for bidding and construction purposes
Reviewing fabrication drawings, requests for information (RFI), and other construction submittals for conformance with engineering drawings, requirements, and specifications
Some travel (10%) to other AdvanSix sites in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and within Virginia may be necessary
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (ability to obtain PA and VA licenses)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role at a chemical plant or similar industrial facility (power plant, refinery, paper/pulp, pharmaceutical, etc.)
Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences:
Strong communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and in a multi-functional team environment
Experience in 3D modeling utilizing software such as AutoCAD and/or CADWorx Structure software to create 3D models and drawings
Experience with design software, such as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, STAAD, RISA, GT STRUDL, etc.
