Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing clinical experience .
1+ Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) implementation experience (super user trainer or implementation project team member) preferably Cerner.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
3-5 years of experience supporting systems or involved with systems in an acute care setting with direct responsibility for patient care activities.
2 -3 years of experience with EHR system build and support (Cerner experience preferred)

The Interim Manager Infection Prevention will be a 0.5 FTE working 40 hours a week, on a temporary basis to meet regulatory standards and provide coverage for the current Manager Infection Prevention who will be out for several weeks.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Responsible for oversight of daily operations of the Infection Prevention Department and Employee Health in regard to the facility compliance with Hospital Accreditation Standards, State and CMS regulations.
Ongoing assessment and development of programs, policies & procedures and forms to address the Infection Prevention needs of employees, volunteers, contract workers, independent contractors, physicians, registry workers and students in accordance with the guidelines established by the regulatory agencies.
Provides expert consultation and education, as needed, and as related to Infection Prevention.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field with (5) years of experience, or an Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field with seven (7) years of experience required.
Three (3) years of experience as an Infection Preventionist in an acute care facility required.
Required Licensure:
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) to be obtained during the first two (2) years of hire.

Ability to recognize, develop and provide educational programs on infection prevention for all levels of personnel to improve their infection prevention knowledge base and practice.
