Group Description: Evercore's Private Capital Advisory (PCA) group is an active secondary market advisor focused on providing independent advice and execution services for the owners and managers of private financial assets. Evercore PCA specializes in providing liquidity solutions to institutional investors and their managers through secondary transactions in the private equity, venture, credit, real estate and infrastructure markets. This includes private equity funds, direct co-investments, credit funds and hedge fund side pockets. PCA's clients include financial institutions, asset managers, pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices and private equity and hedge funds. This position will be based in New York City and focused on advising limited partners on sales of portfolios of private assets. PCA is seeking intelligent, mature individuals, preferably with past experience in finance or investment banking, the desire and flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial environment and the ability to learn on the job. In addition, analysts must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard.

Specific Qualifications:

* Recent college graduate (Class of 2022)
* At least one internship in investment banking, finance or consulting strongly preferred
* Finance or Accounting major (preferred)
* Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas
* Strong communications skills, both written and oral
* Strong work ethic
* Enthusiastic, outgoing and achievement-oriented character
* Highly attentive to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Preparing analytical schedules to be used in discussions with Management of target companies
* Identifying transaction focus areas based on preliminary analysis
* Researching technical accounting topics for contemplated transactions
* Researching public industry and competitor information relevant to the target company
* Analyzing cyclicality of target's business and working capital trends
* Investigating contingent liabilities, off-balance sheet items and related party transactions
* Analyzing quality of earnings and non-recurring items
* Reviewing target company's accounting policies for proper application of GAAP
* Participating in discussions held with Management
* Contributing to the report-writing process

REQUIREMENTS:

* Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science/Business Administration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
* Must be willing to start between January 2023 and September 2023
* Major GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
* Dedication to teamwork, demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
* Ability to master new tasks quickly
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Word and Excel
* Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
* Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
* Flexibility to travel, as needed
* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
* FINRA Series 79, 63 & 7 certification (either current or able to obtain)
