The pay is definitely better than at the other three hospitals in the city.

Cons of working at Advocate Aurora Health

People are not made to be accountable for their actions and decisions. It makes a work environment stressful.

Advocate Aurora Health benefits

Work is less than 2 miles from my home. The company stresses colleagues to Live Well and has incentives for the program.

What do you like best about Advocate Aurora Health's CEO and the leadership team?

I do not know the CEO. My leader needs to lead and not try to be everyone’s friend and find a way to bring the whole department together as one instead of secluded shifts.

How would you improve Advocate Aurora Health's culture?

The diversity awareness and even veteran awareness is amazing. I would say treating every department equally. Nursing is the biggest celebration and it downplays every other department who have roles in patient care.

How did you prepare for the Advocate Aurora Health interview?

Reading and understanding the job requirements and just being as prepared as I could be.

How does your compensation at Advocate Aurora Health compare to the industry average?

Advocate Aurora has better than fair wages. I know for a fact they more per hour than the other 3 hospitals in town.

What's the diversity at Advocate Aurora Health like?

It’s done very official and kind of a corporate feel to it.

What brings you the most joy at Advocate Aurora Health?

It has always been that I know I am doing something to help someone with their journey through an illness or wellness time in their life.

Pros of working at Advocate Aurora Health

Colleagues and patients. Warm team environment

Cons of working at Advocate Aurora Health

Benefits recently changed to United Healthcare without warning. This has effected so many employees negatively and there are limited providers. For a healthcare company, one would think they would take more care in choosing their benefit provider.
