Where You Will Work:
4 Tower is a Hematology Oncology and Oncology ICU at Carolinas Medical Center. We have 30 beds, 8 of which are ICU capable. We care for patients with Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma, during initial diagnosis, chemotherapy administration, neutropenic fevers, and complications that result in hospital admission. In our ICU beds, we care for any oncology patient that needs a higher level of care, hematology, solid tumor, and post stem cell transplants. Our patients tend to have multiple admissions for chemotherapy or stay inpatient for an extended period, as a result, the patients and their families build relationships and show appreciation for the care the nurses provide during this incredibly difficult time in their lives. 4 Tower is known for incredible teamwork, empathetic nursing staff, and opportunities to grow and learn from experienced nurses and providers (APPs and Physicians).
We're Looking For:
* Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
* Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
* 6 months of RN experience

Job Summary
Includes Neonatal, critical care, emergency services and includes cardio-thoracic surgery. Patients are typically intubated on ventilators and/or have hemodynamic instability. Key Responsibilities
* Patient Coordination:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families throughout the structural heart care process.
* Schedule and facilitate diagnostic testing, consultations, and procedures.
* Provide education regarding procedures, risks, benefits, and recovery expectations.
* Clinical Management:
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and anesthesia.
* Review patient charts for appropriateness and readiness for intervention.
* Monitor and manage pre- and post-procedure care plans.
* Program Development & Quality:
* Maintain accurate data for national registries (e.g., STS/ACC TVT Registry).
* Track outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
* Assist in protocol development and ensure adherence to evidence-based guidelines.
* Compliance & Education:
* Ensure compliance with CMS and institutional requirements for structural heart programs.
* Provide ongoing education to staff and patients regarding structural heart therapies.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Certification / License- Current licensure as Registered Nurse with applicable state Board of Nursing or compact state as defined by applicable state Board of Nursing. BLS certification required.
Work Experience- Five years' Heart and Vascular or Heart and Vascular related experience required.

* Coordinators appropriate laboratory tests and other procedures for subjects participating in studies; including drawing blood or collection of other samples.
* Coordinates with Investigational Pharmacy for subjects to receive required drugs.
* Communicates with Sponsored Programs Administration to ensure proper management of charges and billing.
* Coordinates and submits IRB protocols, reports, revisions, updates, approvals.
* Records appropriate clinical and laboratory data on forms provided by the principal investigator(s), federal government, and/or industry sponsors.
* Communicates with study sponsors, federal agencies, principal investigators, and sub-investigators about research projects.
* Provides resources for staff, patients, families. and community regarding research.
* Travels to clinical research sites, hospitals, physician offices, and facilities within the System as necessary.

Physical Requirements
* Requires ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Reaching, stooping, bending in file drawers. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs. of weight. Working in fast-paced clinical setting. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch and manual and finger dexterity. Must be able to be mobile within the entire healthcare system and other facilities as required
Education, Experience and Certifications
* NC RN licensure required; BSN preferred. Clinical research experience preferred. BLS required per policy guidelines. Certification in clinical research (SoCRA, ACRP) preferred.

Where You Will Work:
Join our 24-bed observation/medical unit at Atrium Health Cleveland, where you will care for a variety of patients. Our specialty is observation patients (chest pain, kidney stones, minor surgeries), we also take overflow medical/surgical patients on our unit. We have very strong relationships with our hospitalist group, who provide quality and compassionate care to our patients alongside our nurses.
Expectations We're Looking For:
* Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
* Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You'll Do:
* As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
