Service Workers fuel, check the oil, sanitize, and check the meter readings of all commercial buses and company vehicles in the RTA fleet. Maintaining supplies, equipment and performing light maintenance duties are required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Demonstrates behaviors that are consistent with standards for professional and ethical conduct Primary focus on cleaning, sanitizing and detailing the interior and exterior of buses as required to maintain cleanliness of the fleet. Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure all can be dispatched in a timely manner. Re-positions any buses that may impede the traffic in the yard. Ensures that adequate supplies to perform checks are maintained at the fuel island. Communicates with the Maintenance Manager regarding supplies and oil inventory dispensed into equipment. Checks tires for damage and proper air pressure. Inspects all buses on a regularly scheduled basis for physical damage. Maintains the required inventory in the spill barrel and notifies management any time supplies are used or need to be replaced. Takes all necessary steps to prevent and contain spills. Maintains adequate inventories and supplies to make minor repairs and facilitate the washing of buses. Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses or trucks as required. Cleans and sanitizes the interior and exterior of buses/company vehicles as required to maintain cleanliness of the fleet. Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds to include yard cleanliness, grass and weeds or any other yard projects that are assigned as necessary. Picks up and delivers parts as needed. Moves company vehicles around the bus yard in a safe manner. Follows all safety standards and guidelines regarding personal protective equipment (PPE). Provides family support and consultation through home visits and/or school conferences to ensure consistency from home to school. * Provides professional development, modeling, support and clear expectations relating to behavior management, crisis intervention, and IEP development/implementation relating to behavior. * Participates in ongoing professional development both inside and outside of school setting with a comprehensive knowledge of current professional trends and information. * Participates as a member of IEP and IFSP team meetings for targeted students and completes required paperwork in accordance with established timelines. * Serves as a resource to the director of special education, supervisors of special education, autism spectrum facilitators, behavior specialists, and other staff as appropriate in areas of applied behavior analysis and behavioral intervention. * Maintains required certification/licensing required by given profession. * Responds effectively to parent, school staff and administrator concerns. * Communicates with colleagues, families and outside agencies efficiently and collaboratively. * Travels between schools/homes etc. as needed. * Thinks, concentrates, and interacts positively with others. * Works well under stress and meets all deadlines. OTHER DUTIES: Performs related work as required or assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or Supervisor(s) of Special Education. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires significant periods of standing and walking and is performed in a typical school environment. Work may require physical as well as psychological confrontations with aggressive students. Tasks may include relocating students and setting up needed equipment. UNUSUAL DEMANDS: As indicated by Individual Education Program plans. May be subject to a flexible work schedule.
