As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
* Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard

* When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
* Make the guest aware of current promos. store activities and events.

* Thank guests and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target.
* Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
* Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
* Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
* Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet.
* Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
* Attempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target's policies and procedures.
* Maintain a clean, clutter free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
* Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
* Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
* Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
* Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

The Impact of This Position
The Primary Prevention Childrens Advocate provides engaging educational content and training to local children and youth to cultivate a safer future free from bullying, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence. This role serves as a positive mentor, influencer, and role model with the goal of reducing risk factors linked to unhealthy relationships, toxic behaviors, and teen dating violence.Some direct service is required and delivered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with The Shelters policies, DCF guidelines, and private grant deliverables.
Education & Experience

Better Together seeks to fill this position as soon as possible. The job is full-time and may require some work in the evenings and on weekends. In addition, Family Support Specialists participate in our on-call schedule rotation. Better Together is headquartered in Naples, Florida. This position requires that candidates live in our Southwest Florida region, which includes Lee, Collier, Hendry, Glades, Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.
A majority of your work time in this role will be spent in the community, helping families. Individuals in this role must be comfortable functioning and making decisions in crisis situations. This can involve personally helping individuals relocate to safe spaces and transporting to a safe space. Additionally, individuals in this role will be expected to attend weekly in-person or virtual team meetings and discuss the status of their cases with the team. It may require performance of interpreter duties, if bi-lingual, or implementation of the Department's Limited English Proficiency Plan. This position with the Department of Health in Lee County's Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides basic breastfeeding education to WIC participants in various locations throughout Lee County. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are paraprofessionals, who are recruited and hired from WIC's target population, are available to WIC clients outside usual clinic hours and outside of the WIC clinic environment, and have had previous experience with breastfeeding, having successfully breastfed at least one baby. Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Duties Counsels WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers on normal breastfeeding related issues in the clinic or by telephone visits at scheduled intervals determined by the local WIC agency. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors work approximately 20 hours a week. Peer counselors work in an assigned clinic and are available to WIC clients by phone, through use of a state issued cell phone, outside of normal work hours, i.e. evenings up till 9:00 pm week days and on week-ends. Time spent by Peer Counselors, contacting and assisting clients outside of regular work hours will be considered work time. Must get approval for any work time above 20 hours a week and cannot exceed 29 hours a week. Receives a caseload of WIC clients to manage and routinely makes contacts with all clients assigned by the local agency breastfeeding coordinator or local agency breastfeeding peer counseling coordinator. Gives basic breastfeeding information and support to WIC mothers to help them to successfully establish breastfeeding, overcome common barriers to breastfeeding, and prevent and handle common breastfeeding problems or concerns. Respects each client by keeping her information strictly confidential. Assists with the facilitation of breastfeeding classes and support groups. * Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
