Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday Afternoons and Evenings up to 25 hours per week between 1:00pm and 7:00pm

A Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is a family-centered, place-based primary prevention approach, where all members of the community have access to and may benefit from both structured or spontaneous activities and events (called “offerings”) that strengthen family protective factors to increase child and family well‑being and promote stability. FEC offerings are available to everyone, regardless of current or past child welfare involvement.
The goal of the Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is to enhance child and family well‑being by providing access and support to enable the strengthening of family protective factors inherent in its residents and community by building mutual community connections, capacity, and resilience.
In partnership with FEC staff, families will drive the planning, development, and sustainable co‑ownership of the centers. Families who participate in the FEC programming will be encouraged to share their expertise by volunteering at the center and given meaningful opportunities to engage with neighbors and peers. The goal of the FEC is to strengthen families' protective factors and build community connections, capacity, and resilience.
Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, provide support, and collaborate with a team of local parents, subject experts, and other residents to deliver monthly events and activities (offerings) held at the FEC.
Foster a culture of respect built on the belief that families and communities possess the inherent strengths and knowledge needed to succeed given the right access to opportunities and support.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to connect participants to service providers and other programs that have resources to offer.
Engage groups of local community members of all ages and guide them through the co‑designed activities and programming of the FEC.
Manage enrollment and attendance at offerings and events.
Care for and attend to the physical space of the FEC program to ensure it is safe, welcoming, organized, and appealing to participants and community members.
Handle inventory and ordering/purchasing responsibilities to keep the site running and ensure needed food and supplies are stocked for offerings.
Effectively utilize tracking and reporting mechanisms and accurately enter data and run reports in the FEC website and other agency databases as needed to obtain program‑level data, compiling statistical or written reports for agency and external stakeholders.
Manage the FEC website to communicate with and engage members.
Use Appreciative Inquiry and other strength‑based tools to engage community members in co‑designing offerings.
Create monthly calendars, website content, and other outreach tools to promote and document offerings.
Participate and engage with the FEC team in learning collaboratives facilitated by ACS with other FEC teams from across the city.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven programs working directly with children, youth, and families.
Reside in or near the FEC community, or reside close enough to arrive promptly, in the event of an emergency.
Bi‑Lingual either /Mandarin &/or Cantonese is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to warmly connect with and engage children, youth, and adults individually and in groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with the community and its assets and resources, such as other programs, services, supports, local civic groups, and community leaders.
Experience in developing and running a group, a club, or coaching a team preferred.
Experience caring for children (as a parent, guardian, relative, neighbor, or babysitter) preferred.
Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced, challenging, and constantly changing environment.
Must have a commitment to work from a trauma‑informed, strength‑based, youth and family development perspective.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, attending community events as needed.

Utilize information from Family Partnership Agreement to assist families with setting appropriate goals
Work with the families to assure that referrals meet their needs and identify alternative resources as needed
Participate in child case conferences with provider agencies, and parent teacher conferences where required
Intervenes and contacts parents when there are problems with attendance
Assist with recruiting and enrollment of children in the program
Work collaboratively with community resources and provide family with support services and referrals.
Conduct a minimum of two home visits per year, per child, with additional visits as needed
Data Entry and Programming
Maintain information in the Child Plus system and binder for family
Maintain confidentiality of family records and information (i.e. medical, mental health etc...)
Attend Delegate Agency Site Policy Committee meetings and assist with planning, organizing, and maintain records of their meetings
Coordinate monthly workshops based on center needs
Acts as a liaison between BKS and the community, establishing and maintaining relationships with various community members and organizations. Develops and maintains contacts with community social service, health, and mental health agencies.

Attend and participate in program staff meetings, as well as related agency training as appropriate.

Summary of position:

These services may include short-term crisis intervention, community referrals, orientation to the criminal justice system, case status updates, and court support. The EET analyst will divide their time between the downtown office and the Washington Heights office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting heavy volume of follow up calls and maintaining on-going contact to ensure the clients are receiving support and services.
Explaining the criminal justice system and providing case information to survivors.
Assisting with emergency safety planning
Serving as a liaison between survivors and the members of the EET prior to an arrest and facilitating communication with the assigned Assistant District Attorney throughout the post-arrest process.
Ensuring all victims, witnesses, and their families are connected with SSB concrete and therapeutic services.
Partnering with advocates from outside agencies to coordinate essential services and support for survivors.
Assisting with orders of protection, supporting depositions, and registration for notification of inmate release.
Providing support and accompaniment during Criminal Justice proceedings.
Participating in community presentations.

In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and one 1-2 years of experience in relevant field or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements/Skills:

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Screen court related documents to identify eligible candidates for CCA's ATD/ATI programs;
Liaise with defense attorneys, prosecutors and judges;
Interview prospective clients, both currently incarcerated and in the community;
Collect and review additional information through interview of family members and other collateral sources;
Advocate before the court for the release of clients to CCA's ATD/ATI programs;
Prepare and present written and verbal reports to the court regarding clients' participation in ATD/ATI programming;
Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with counselors/case managers, support staff, and clinical team, to assist clients in achieving their individualized goals and satisfying court mandates;
Assist with the coordination of services to clients, ensuring that all court appearances are covered and the necessary plans and follow-up reports are timely submitted.
Record accurate information on all activities, including court proceedings and appearance outcomes related to clients' cases;
Track displacement, referral, intake and other related statistics for program reporting.
Promote CCA's ATI/ATD programs and explain program requirements to clients and criminal justice stakeholders;
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with defense attorneys, prosecutors, judges, and other criminal justice stakeholders;
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated commitment to working with disenfranchised individuals from all walks of life. Relevant personal experience is a plus;
Ability to get access to the courts through an Office of Court Administration Secure Pass;
High school diploma or GED/HSE required; Bachelor's Degree or MSW, preferred;
Previous court advocacy experience preferred;
Computer literacy (word processing, e-mail, internet research, data entry) required;
Knowledge of the structure and procedures of the Criminal Legal System and its terminology required;

it in the medical record, including information about the personal and family
problems related to the resident's illness and care, support network, actions
taken to meet the resident's individual needs and eventual discharge to an
appropriate level of care based on functional capacity. Pertinent social data
shall be made available to the attending physician and other appropriate staff
members;
· Acts as a liaison between residents, families, outside agencies, and the
facility Administrator to ensure that the resident's rights are maintained;
· Functions in a manner that adheres to all policies/procedures of the
facility, as a representative of the Windsor Health Care, LLC's Center
administration;
· Documents and prepares any reports requested by the administration; also
councils and provides assistance when change in financial status occurs for

* Support school staff in addressing issues such as suspected child abuse and neglect. Training school staff in their role as mandated reporters; act as school liaison with Administration for Children's Services
* Maintain case history records and prepare reports
* Train staff on compliance with the Dignity for All Students Act
* Address emergency situations impacting students, such as leading group counseling sessions that provide support in areas such as grief, stress, or chemical dependency
* Arrange for medical, psychiatric, and other tests that may disclose causes of difficulties and indicate remedial measures
* Interview students individually, in families, or in groups and assessing their circumstances, capabilities and problems, to determine what services are required to meet their needs
* Other duties, as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
(1) Masters degree or higher in School Counseling or Social Work, as appropriate; (2) Appropriate New York State Certification; (3); Minimum four years experience working as a school counselor in an urban public or charter school; (4) Demonstrated ability to work productively with staff and with diverse populations of students, parents, and families, including students with disabilities or students with limited English proficiency; (5) Experience supervising adults and leading a team of adults in service of students and families (6) Demonstrated understanding of issues facing children and youth, especially in urban environments; (7) Belief in and alignment with MESA's core values, educational philosophy and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; (8) Spanish/ Haitian Creole speaker a plus.
Salary
$60,000 - $100,000, based on experience

Job Goal: To provide a proactive, developmental school counseling program for all elementary school students. A developmental school counseling program is curriculum based; it provides for early identification of critical problems in children and early intervention to prevent these problems from escalating and interfering with learning. The primary elements of the program are classroom lessons, consultation and coordination with staff and parents, individual and small group counseling and parent education.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Counseling
* Teach developmental class lessons to address HIB policies, self-esteem, conflict resolution, career readiness, and character education.
* Provide individual and group counseling services, including crisis intervention, to students experiencing difficulty with personal and social growth, and academic performance, referring students to other resources and agencies as needed.
* Assist with the implementation of specialized guidance programs, including child abuse, sexual abuse, career education, HIB, SST, and other school and district programs.
Consultation
* Assist teachers with planning and implementing learning experiences for children that promote positive concepts in self-esteem, personal relationships with others, responsible behavior, and attitudes toward school and learning.
* Participate on the Intervention and Referral Services Team and 504 Team to assist students, parents, and teachers as needed
* Conduct conferences with students, parents, teachers, or administrators to help all to understand and assist students in achieving success in the school and in positive personal growth.
* Maintain a close relationship with the Child Study Team.
* Confer with staff regarding individual student issues (academic, social, or emotional).
* Assist students, parents, and teachers in evaluating student aptitudes and abilities through the use of data, teacher report cards, standardized test scores and other pertinent data.
Record Keeping
* Maintain student records and ensure their confidentiality.
* Maintain a confidential log of all counseling sessions.
* Submit weekly reports with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner.
Professional Development
* Participate in professional meetings and attend workshops designed for professional improvement.
* Contribute to the professional development of district staff by providing information and assistance about the guidance program and the students it serves.
* Follow the ethical standards for school counselors set forth by the American School Counselor Association.
School and Community Relations
* Establish high standards and expectations for all students for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professional staff members in order to plan students' academic plans and assist in resolving school related problems.
* Utilize the resources of the community in developing and expanding counseling services and activities.
* Coordinate school and community resources when needed to assist a student and parents, working closely with other school personnel, including the administration, nurse, social worker, learning disabilities teacher consultant, attendance officer, and others.
* Adhere to the policies and procedures adopted by the board of education, administrative directives, and state and federal regulations which are appropriate for the position.
Assessment
* Assist in the organization and administration of standardized test programs.
* Assist in developing and implementing an evaluation plan for the guidance program and utilize results to determine strengths and areas in need of improvement.
