Our counseling team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling and therapy to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.
Your Job as a Substance Use Counselor:
The Substance Use Counselor is instrumental in our patient's treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Substance Use Counselors provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums which include both individual and group counseling sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Provide case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality care as needed.
Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, as needed.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in social or health services field required;
Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field;
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
* Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
* Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention techniques.
* Documentation experience, including maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
* Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards).
* Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team with medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists.
Licenses/Certifications:
* Required: CADC or tCADC

Position Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Requires a four-year degree in the areas of Social Services, Psychology, Family Services, Child Life, Counseling or other healthcare related field. A minimum of two years of equivalent work experience involving complex family dynamics, such as death and dying, grief and loss or supporting families in the hospital setting is preferred.

- Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service

- Previous customer service experience preferred

What You'll Do
Assessment and treatment planning- Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and skill-based assessment. Develop and monitor implementation of treatment plans that are individualized and utilize evidence-based strategies. Monitor progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Supervision of treatment- Provide supervision of experience for BCBA candidates pursuing certification. Provide supervision of treatment plan implementation for certified and non-certified direct care providers.
Collaboration- Collaborate with each child's interdisciplinary team to implement effective techniques across all environments promoting progress and generalization. Advise and contribute to the development and growth of Child
Serve
's Autism program.
Training- Provide training to staff and families on treatment plans, including the use of standardized training curricula. Provide or collaborate on training within Child
Serve
and the community.
What You'll Need
Master's Degree in Related Field and BCBA certification required. Successful completion of the BACB's Supervisor Training Curriculum preferred. Will consider those sitting for BCBA exam in the next 6 months.
Preferred: Minimum of two years' experience working with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

Follow written and oral directions. Responsible for maintaining district email account and checking regularly for correspondence.

Completes assigned paperwork, including production records, portion sheets and sanitation records.
Operate the point-of-sale computer system as cashier during serving times and perform basic accounting duties.
Serve students during meal times and restock serving lines as directed.
