Your Role
As a Mental Health Advisor, you will provide clinical supervision, staff support, and consumer intervention while helping to maintain program quality and compliance. You will serve as a key member of the Adult Services team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and positive outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Supervise, train, evaluate, and manage assigned Adult Services staff, including assisting with personnel processes such as hiring, interviewing, and performance management.
Provide clinical supervision and support for staff cases, including reviewing documentation such as SARJs, RPOCs, and Crisis Plans.
Assist staff in crisis interventions and home visits, providing clinical feedback and support to consumers as needed.
Support staff with community resource recommendations, professional development, and training on mental health needs. Serve as a liaison for the organization and programs with stakeholders, including Milwaukee County.
Complete and submit required documentation by deadlines. Maintain effective communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders.
Follow all duties as a mandated reporter. Attend meetings and professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

CLINICIAN Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility - WCS Jefferson County Responsible for providing individual therapy and supervising milieu group therapy to the youth residing at Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Provide service coordination in collaboration with the Youth Treatment Specialist team.
The Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility is licensed under the Department of Health Services Chapters 50 and 34 to provide a short-term stabilization service for up to 8 youth (ages 10-17).
Essential Functions:
1. Interview, assess, screen, and approve admissions of youth for services at YCSF.
2. Assist with admissions process on site, assisting families with paperwork completion and orientation of youth to the program.
3. Supervise the youth coordinator, providing weekly individual supervision, review and sign off on youth care plans and service recommendations/resources.
4. Facilitate treatment and value-added groups for the youth including but not limited to DBT skills, sex education, healthy relationships, cultural awareness, substance use, independent living and life skills for 8 youth across the gender spectrum, ages 10-17 years old.
5. Provide daily (more frequently as needed) 1:1 individual therapy session following treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches in the spirit of DBT.
6. Complete assessments to develop youth care plans including stabilization and safety plans.
7. Provide DBT training and coaching to the direct care staff by engaging in activities/programming to role model and teach DBT skills to both youth and staff.
8. Provide weekly clinical supervision to Youth Treatment Specialists in the YCSF program per DHS 34 requirements.
9. Engage in monthly peer review with clinical supervisor per DHS 50.
10. Participate as a member of the medical peer review committee per DHS 50.
11. Participate in consultation teams both as a team member and as a facilitator for program staff to assist in monitoring the fidelity of the milieu group therapy.
12. Participate in weekly consultation, training and supervision on the integrated treatment model.
13. Conduct daily risk assessments to ensure the youth are safe and not a risk to themselves or others.
14. Coordinate with Jefferson County Crisis Services as needed.

Processes admission paperwork for clients; coordinates services with medical support, outpatient, emergency rooms, law enforcement, pharmacy, housing and other necessary agencies.
Updates and maintains a variety of files, records, charts, and other documents; gathers, compiles and organizes data for management purposes; maintains appropriate records and prepare reports both verbal and written.
Assists consumers in learning independent living skills, which are defined in the resident's Individual Service Plan. (i.e. laundry, housekeeping). As well as encourages management of symptoms through support and education.
Participates in ensuring that nutritious community meals are planned, prepared, and served within the home, including food preparation, serving and storage.
Monitors consumer medication regime and compliance as directed by their physician.
Reports to appropriate staff any changes in consumer behavior and functioning.
Ensures that residents maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
Ensures that residents leave for their appointments appropriately dressed and bathed.
Ensures that the house is clean at all times and conforms to CBRF regulations HFS 83.
Ensures that all physical repairs are reported to the Director of the Crisis Resource Center.
Performs room, water, temperature, or any other daily weekly monitoring that is assigned by the supervisor including labeling and putting away the weekly grocery order.
Participates in emergency evacuation procedures and fire alarm system checks with staff and residents.
Familiarizes self with resident individualized service plan.
Documents residents' daily behavior and routine in the client's chart.
Ensures that paperwork and transportation to residents' medical appointments are completed.
Orders supplies and groceries as necessary.
Trains and orients pool staff as necessary.
Supervises and documents morning client groups as appropriate for education level.
Plans and maintains menus for house meals.
Performs special assignments and or projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials:

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree is required in the field of Social Work Counseling, or related Human Services Field
Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Supervision experience is desirable.

Physical Requirements: On occasion must be able to push/pull/lift/move objects weighing at least 50 pounds. Work is performed largely at the Crisis Resource Center, an office environment, other various settings.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
Working Conditions: This position may work in a variety of indoor and outdoor work environments including the Crisis Resource Center, office settings and may include outdoor areas. Work areas may include various outdoor weather conditions, loud noises, and fluctuating temperatures and require the use of stairs.

Supports the consumer's treatment team in implementing the consumer's crisis & safety plan.
Assists and provides guidance to consumers to aid them through their recovery.
Identifies and connects consumers to local community resources.
Communicate with applicable stakeholders as appropriate in a timely manner after each crisis incident.
Provides assistance with the delivery of all aspects of support to the consumer.
Participates in ongoing communication and collaboration with consumers and other team members.
Prepare, complete, and submit required items by due dates to include, but not limited to evaluation of services provided, documentation of all interventions, preventions, and stabilization contacts.
Adheres to both St. Charles Youth & Family Services policies and procedures and Milwaukee County designated policies and procedures.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field required.
