    FULL-TIME Part-time The Head Coach will help create a healthier, happier world by facilitating a seamless fitness experience for both clients and coaches. The Head Coach will be focused on member retention, client acquisition, and supporting the club's Fitness Coach Team. The Head coach will embody 24 Hour Fitness's core values, designing comprehensive fitness programs for clients, and acts as a player coach to support in the training onboarding and hiring of new Coaches. In this role, the Head Coach will spend an estimated 60% of time in personal training sessions and 40% onboarding, training, and supporting Coaches within a given club. This is a full-time role with an expected minimum of working 30+ hours per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals that include appropriate exercise selections, programs that include varied fitness offerings, general nutrition guidelines and teaching a fitness lifestyle. Help to mentor Coach performance through behavior observation and training and development. Support in the onboarding and training of new coaches. Assist the General Manager in interviewing and hiring coaches. Support and provide input to the GM on Fitness goal setting, scheduling, and coach performance. Build and generate a strong fitness business through new client acquisition and retention. Set expectations and hold clients accountable to their comprehensive fitness programs through goal setting, follow up discussions and track progress. Demonstrate safe and proper exercise techniques to clients. Arrive on time, prepared and enthusiastic while being attentive for every training appointment and or group session. Meet minimum productivity expectations servicing clients and group sessions. Create, maintain, and regularly update progress for each personal training client, following company guidelines. Assist in member service activities such as fitness seminars, training days, and deliver a positive fitness experience to members and guests through custom coaching sessions. Deliver on the Service Promise of Clean, Friendly and Well-Maintained Club by racking weights, team cleans and assisting with maintaining a clean and organized club. QUALIFICATIONS Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 2-5 years of experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach. Holistic fitness program design and consultation experience required. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. As this is a full time position, candidates must be able to work 30+ hours weekly and be open to work weekends and holidays as needed to support the needs of the business. Ability to adjust and operate fitness equipment. Ability to perform a variety of exercise routines. Demonstrate excellent customer services skills. Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff. High School Diploma or GED required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator Certifications (AED) received through in person training required. Degree in a related field or current certification through at least one nationally accredited industry associations. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Specialized fitness credentials preferred. * Prior experience as a lead or manager on duty within a fitness organization. Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions * Must be able to lift 50 pounds. * Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, jumping, kicking, and prolonged standing and walking. * While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. * The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud. Travel Requirement * Limited (less than 5%) travel by car to trainings, or meetings at other club locations. Coaches work with clients to analyze their current financial health, help set short/long-term financial goals, and design a realistic plan of action. Provide comprehensive financial advice. Coaches determine what level of financial plan and support is needed for each client and adjust their level of service accordingly. Communicate. Coaches must be superior, proactive communicators who can adjust their message and style to the needs of our clients. They must have strong disciplined skills driving follow-up with clients. Inspire. Host workshops, seminars, and events on a variety of personal finance topics to assist and encourage participants to take the actions needed to achieve financial stability. Brand Ambassador. Enthusiastically advocate the values, ethics, and unique approach our company takes to personal finance and retirement planning. Collaborate within the Coaching Team. Coaching teams work both in the field and from our offices. They will need to collaborate well with internal colleagues to track participant progress both individually and at the plan/company level. Flexible work environment. Coaches must have the ability to work daily with little direct supervision, but diligence and focus. The job requires regional travel and site visits with our clients. Required Credentials: Bachelor's degree Current Series 65 license holder or within 120 days of hire. CFP designation or current / future pursuit of designation preferred. 2-5 years financial planning experience. Ability to listen and empathize with participants, spot and analyze issues, and simplify/explain financial concepts to provide solutions. Skills & Competencies: Ability to talk to clients independently Ability to develop financial plans and investment strategies to present to clients when applicable Working knowledge of Salesforce a strong plus. Exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required. Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to build and maintain relationships with current clients. Tenacious about doing what is right for the client - always. Ability and willingness for local and extended travel, as needed. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
