* Manage the digital model environment and deliverables for an entire project

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly talented Structural Dam Safety Engineering Project Manager/Technical Lead to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Latham, New York; Buffalo, New York; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; Charlotte, North Carolina; Franklin Tennessee; or Tampa, Florida.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management including subcontractors.
* Client facing role with ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of dam engineering projects and programs including business development and proposal preparation for new and existing clients.
* Lead the technical execution of projects including structural stability and strength analyses, structural design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic concrete structures such as spillways, outlet works, and other site civil structures.
* Plan, manage and lead field investigations for various hydraulic structures.
* Prepare and perform quality control reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
* Build and maintain project schedules for delivering project success including the management of resources, budgets and risk.
* Plan, direct, supervise and lead multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects.

* Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work and business development part time as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
* Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state with the ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states.
* Minimum of 5 years of direct experience managing projects or completing project management activities such as maintain project budgets, schedule, staffing, quality control, and/or client relations.
* Minimum 2 years of experience developing proposals including preparing technical approaches and scopes of work, budgeting, and scheduling.
* Occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, and/or professional conferences is required.
* Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
* Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
* Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
* Ability to complete the Managing AECOM Projects training and receive the AECOM Project Manager certification. The successful candidate will be expected to start the training program within 6 months of hire.
* Experience with relevant software such as Microsoft Power BI and Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam and project management information systems (PMIS) such as Procore and e-Builder, AutoCAD, Mathcad, STADD Pro and Ansys.
* Passion for mentoring junior staff and leadership - guiding our growing team of engineers to produce quality work and excellent client service.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Project experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
* Approved FERC Independent Consultant (IC) or the ability to receive FERC approval to perform Part 12D Inspections.
* Experience performing risk assessments and Potential Failure Mode Analyses (PFMAs) related to dam design, construction, and operation.

Substation Project Structural Engineer
HDR Engineering is looking for a Substation Project Structural Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.
The Substation Project Structural Engineer has broad technical knowledge and experience with the structural design components of high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects up to 500kV, including steel structure and foundation analysis & design. Leveraging that knowledge and experience, they work in close coordination with Project Managers (PM) and project teams in multiple office locations to execute the structural engineering and design components of substation projects. The Substation Project Structural may also train, mentor, and guide EIT's across the practice and help senior engineers & technical leaders in the development and implementation of best practices to advance our capabilities across this discipline.
Specific duties include:
* Execute structural engineering tasks for a variety of substation structural members such as rolled steel shapes, lattice steel framing, and folded plate tubular steel shapes. Engineering duties include detailed design, calculations, and detailing for fabrication or development of loading and concept drawings for submittal to a steel fabricator to design and fabricate.
* Execute foundation design tasks for substation structures, including drilled piers, spread footings, driven piles, and potentially other types, using industry standard software.
* Prepare and /or review specifications for construction & materials.
* Assign project tasks to EIT's and provide technical guidance to non-structural project team members.
* Coordinates and/or performs quality checks and reviews for project deliverables per the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world-class quality product to the client. Performs quality checks and/or reviews of projects from other teams on an as needed basis.
* Collaborate with other engineers to develop and maintain standards.
* Work independently and mentor and train, one or more EIT's and Designers.
* Ability to Execute multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with teams in different locations.
* Participate in project reviews as needed.
* Some travel may be required.
Preferred/ Desired Qualifications:
* Technical design experience with physical/outdoor design of high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects of varying complexity.
* Familiarity with the latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, ASCE-113 and other industry standards.
* Experience using industry standard design software, including PLS-Tower and Mathcad Prime, AutoCAD or MicroStation.
* Minimum 5 years of technical design experience with high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects, including foundation and steel structural design.
* Working knowledge of the latest AISC-360, ASCE-7, ACI-318, and other industry standards.
* Experience using industry standard design software, including STAAD, RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or Equivalent.
* Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

* Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

Job Description
AECOM
is seeking experienced Environmental Project Manager in the Charlotte, North Carolina office, with
leaking underground storage tank (UST) investigation/remediation experience (retail petroleum), particularly working with the NCDEQ UST Trust Fund. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate UST investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation and construction projects.
Preparing cost estimates and proposals, and maintaining financial KPIs
Completing a variety of remedial designs
Building strong client relationships
Client and regulatory correspondence
Technical report writing and review
Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
Responsible for quality control of tasks
Prepare NCDEQ UST Trust Fund reimbursement paperwork and submit in a timely manner to the Incident Manager
Mentor project Jr. staff
Will require some regional travel for field visits
Supervise up to 5 staff
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geology, or closely related field and (2) two years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
