In the role of Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to * Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team from schematic design through the design development and contract document phases of a project. * Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team (architecture, MEP engineering, civil engineering, etc.) to lead the production of the structural deliverables for projects. * Analyze and design components of the superstructure for building projects. * Mentor and train structural interns and EITs within the department and across business groups. * Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and resolve conflicts in a timely manner. * Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. * Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines. * Coordinate workload through the design phases in order to complete the documents on schedule. * Perform construction administration (CA) tasks such as submittal review, respond to requests for information (RFI's) and other coordination tasks with contractors in the field during construction. * Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents. * Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations. * Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering; Structural emphasis. * A minimum of 4 years' structural engineering experience. * 7 years' structural engineering experience. * Experience with design of Health Care and Higher Education projects is strongly encouraged. #LI-EH1 Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering * Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
