Environmental Monitoring (EM) Technician Type: Contract (12+ months) Shifts Available: Night shift (12-hour shifts, 8-hour shift during training) We are seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician to support aseptic manufacturing operations at a GMP-regulated facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in biology, microbiology, or life sciences, and is well-suited for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Perform environmental monitoring of classified cleanroom areas, including isolator and facility monitoring (viable and non-viable). Conduct utility sampling and analysis (including WFI, PCA, and clean steam). Adhere to all cGMP, Good Documentation Practices, and safety protocols while supporting parenteral operations. Document and maintain detailed records of EM and utility sampling results. Support lab maintenance and inventory management tasks as needed. Assist in training and mentoring of new QC Microbiology/EM Technicians when needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Author or assist in updating SOPs and work instructions. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related life sciences field. APTIM is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist, but will consider an entry level candidate, in the Atlanta, GA area, on a full-time basis, in primary support of our stormwater compliance program. There will also be opportunities to participate in a variety of other environmental compliance support tasks, including but not limited to, solid waste, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, aboveground storage tanks, spill prevention, DOT and RCRA compliance, site assessment and remediation, and/or environmental data management. The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting an environmental team. This position will require travel to client facilities to conduct stormwater inspection/sampling activities, environmental compliance reviews and/or gather related data. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Collecting environmental samples in the field and preparing and preserving samples for delivery to an analytical laboratory. Calibrating and using technical instruments. Gain familiarity with site specific requirements through review of permit and planning documents, including the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) or State-Specific General Permit, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, and any other applicable plans that have been prepared for the site. APTIM is seeking a Environmental Scientist (hydrogeologist, geologist or environmental scientist) to assist the retail petroleum new-store construction team. The qualified candidate will be a hands-on professional scientist, handling a wide-range of tasks both in the field and in the office, for small to large scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Initial responsibilities will be in the office, to include permitting, project preparation, and report writing responsibilities for construction projects across multiple states. Responsibilities will include: Preparation of Best Management Practices and application submittals for dewatering permits, following through on permit approvals to completion. Performing Phase I/II environmental assessment field activities, including the use of complex instrumentation or equipment, and overseeing subcontractors. Report writing for Phase I/II environmental assessments, including interpretation and presentation of collected data in reports that include text, tables, and figures suitable for client and regulatory review. Assist Project Managers with running projects including handling project-related tasks, such as setting up Purchase Orders, scheduling subcontractors, scheduling field personal, tracking deadlines for client submittals, etc. Must be able to work as part of a team while at the same time taking ownership of your individual projects, managing time, effort, and duties within budgetary constraints and a timeline that shifts with client needs. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline. Work requires the ability to bend and lift 30 pounds or less, willingness to work in Tyvek safety suits, wear required safety equipment, and ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours.
