Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery Lead and supervise all phases of the projects involving risk complexity, and financial exposure. This position will primarily support soil and groundwater investigations and removal activities at Superfund sites located throughout EPA Region 7 (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska). However, work on other sites throughout the U.S. may also be required. Responsibilities will include: * Management of field projects, including supervision of junior staff. * Preparation of cost estimates and work plans. * Writing and technical review of reports to clients and regulators. * Oversight of monitoring well installation and well logging. * Planning and oversight of field studies including the collection of soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples. * Interpretation of sample data and preparation of data summary reports. * Supporting other environmental studies including Phase I and II environmental site assessments. * The position will require extensive outdoor work as well as overnight travel. In this position you will be part of multiple project teams, in some cases as a project manager and in other cases as project support staff. You will continue to expand your project management abilities, with opportunities to move into a supervisor/team leader role. In addition, the following is required: * Background check Degree / Certification * B.A. or B.S. degree in Geology or Geological Engineering is required. * Completion of 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training are required to perform this work.
