Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Program / Project Scheduler to be based in Los Angeles, CA.
Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
Familiar with data sources and supports basic schedule development.
Supports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances.
Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports.
Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.
Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating.
Supports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.
Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.
Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.
Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
Supports monthly report preparation.
May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.
Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
Develops and maintains program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects of various types
Monitors and actively participates in project and program scheduling issues while administering best practices and standards
Obtains accurate and timely program schedule updates from project teams and performs QA/QC on information received
Creates and develops conceptual what-if schedules for multiple project types including large complex multi-year projects
Prepares ad-hoc reports and analyses as directed by management

The Federal Planner 1 role is an entry-level position in the field of planning, with a focus on federal projects, primarily for military installations. Your Role
In this position, you will play a key role in the commissioning process for assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining pre-functional and functional checklists.
* Conducting field functional testing and performing on-site observations.

* Documenting test results, tracking issues in the resolution log, and preparing comprehensive commissioning reports.

AECOM's Water group in Southern California is seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer for a full-time position as a Technical Lead supporting our water team. The projects executed out of our Orange, CA or Los Angeles, CA offices are primary in the municipal and private sectors. Our team is part of a multi-engineering water/wastewater team that support large infrastructure projects in Southern California.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Act as I&C discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects with demonstrated ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project delivery.
Be the I&C engineer-of-record (EOR) for projects and project components of varying degrees of complexity.
Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications, particularly in the water/wastewater industry.
Strong knowledge of I&C systems, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards, particularly in the water/wastewater industry.
Develop and manage I&C scope, budget, staffing, and schedule for projects of all sizes.
Conduct and/or oversee field reviews required to assess existing as-built conditions.
Lead the preparation of I&C studies, assessments, technical memorandums, and reports.
Evaluate and select electrical products and engineered systems for use on projects.
Lead the preparation and coordination of I&C construction drawings, such as Motor control schematics and loop drawings, Riser diagrams, Installation details, Schedules (panel schedules, cable schedules, etc.), P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, instrumentation standard details and control narratives.
Lead the preparation of technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and testing and commissioning plans.

**Job Description**
This position is contingent upon contract award
This Senior Specialist serves as a material planning, purchasing, expediting, logistics or field purchasing team member supervising personnel with guidance from Purchasing Management, handling critical project material or non-project procurement support for an office, group of overhead departments or indirect procurement category.
- Manage critical material orders and supervise personnel at a management level
- Ensure personnel are properly inducted in Project specific procedures, systems, protocol, and responsibilities
- Facilitate functional/discipline training requirements for personnel, required to effectively execute their role on the Project
- Plan and execute the material planning, purchasing, or logistics associated with commodities or engineered equipment, systems, or materials in support of project operations and/or goods in support of office operations
- Assist in the handling of complex material planning, purchasing, logistics, or field purchasing functions or plans, and executes those functions within established Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures
- Procure engineered equipment and materials in accordance with the Material Management Plan
- Other duties as assigned
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
**Other Job Requirements**
- Ability to travel up to 5%, domestically
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Four (4) year accredited degree or global equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)
- Working toward applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)
- Experience should be primarily in the area of material management
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
- Good leadership and decision-making skills

* Provide project engineering and utility coordination with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region.
* Develop utility basemaps, coordinate with utility owners and agencies, develop relocation strategies, assist in preparation of cost estimates, preparation of engineering plans and specification for utility relocations.
