Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Geologist for employment in either the Philadelphia or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania offices. This position would support the Environmental business line, primarily working on Federal projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope. Prepares technical work plans and reports. Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Plan, execute, analyze and report on environmental measures in natural systems. Apply standard field practices and techniques using basic field equipment to collect samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, sediment; prepare samples for shipping, and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork. Qualifications Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with an emphasis in water, wastewater, or another related field. * Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in PA, NJ, DE or ability to obtain within 6 months. * Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review. Preferred Qualifications * 10+ years of extensive project experience in municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design, analysis, installation, inspection, and management in design within dense urban settings. * Strong knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater design codes, standards, and regulations. * Strong communication skills in coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives. * Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment. * Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods. * Experienced technical writer. * Demonstrated experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and other detailed engineering deliverables. * Proven and demonstrated experience working on storm water, water, wastewater, or flood protection/resilience projects. As an Aviation Engineer, you will be an integral part of teams delivering design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities at various size airports. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: * Candidates must pursue a bachelor's degree in environmental/civil engineering or in another related field and must have completed three (3) or more years of study. Graduates not pursuing a master's degree must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term. * Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
