This position will provide project management and technical services to Transit agency clients. Specifically, this individual will work to pursue, manage, and deliver projects and respond to client needs related to rail/transit projects. Join us. **Job Description** Our team is looking for an **Engineering Co-Op Student** interested in joining a premier engineering company with potential to gain experience on a variety of challenging transportation and infrastructure projects that include work within the highway, bridge, and mass transit industries. Clients include the City of Philadelphia and DelDOT statewide pavement rehab program, supporting clients such as PennDOT, DelDOT, Amtrak, the City of Philadelphia and SEPTA. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. HDR is in search of a dynamic, diverse, and talented traffic designer to join our growing Pennsylvania offices. The primary duties include being an integral part of the Traffic and Planning team, working under the direction of senior traffic engineers, on a variety of traffic design projects. Design assignments may include preparing signing, pavement marking, signal lighting, temporary traffic control, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) plans for either stand-alone or multidisciplinary projects. Assignments will vary in complexity from small bridge replacements to streetscapes to large interstate or interchange reconstruction projects. Additional assignments may include conducting field work to collect data such as traffic counts, inventories, or field measurements. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree preferred. * EIT, or ability to obtain within 6 months, required.
